Hi, can you please try again with the latest lirc from zesty (a.k.a. upcoming 17.04 version), and set the status back to "new" in case you still experience such issue? You can also try it from my ppa, where I backported it to xenial and yakkety releases (16.04 and 16.10) https://launchpad.net/~costamagnagianfranco/+archive/ubuntu/costamagnagianfranco-ppa ** Changed in: lirc (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to lirc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/987295 Title: package lirc 0.9.0-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 127 Status in lirc package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: Have had multiple update problems with lirc failing I am not compitent to expand or comment on specific details ProblemType: Package DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: lirc 0.9.0-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-14.23-generic 3.0.9 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-14-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu5 Architecture: i386 Date: Mon Apr 23 01:02:50 2012 DuplicateSignature: Setting up lirc (0.9.0-0ubuntu1) ... /var/lib/dpkg/info/lirc.postinst: 4: /etc/lirc/hardware.conf: I: not found dpkg: error processing lirc (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 127 ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 127 SourcePackage: lirc Title: package lirc 0.9.0-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 127 UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to precise on 2012-03-26 (27 days ago) mtime.conffile..etc.lirc.hardware.conf: 2010-05-30T16:31:14 mtime.conffile..etc.lirc.lircd.conf: 2010-05-30T16:31:14 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lirc/+bug/987295/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
