[Desktop-packages] [Bug 989632] Re: Firefox loose localization after update

2012-04-27 Thread Alex
Thank you for answer, but I can't use Apport because I use LinuxMint 12 Lisa
(Ubuntu Oneiric based). Firefox and firefox-locale-ru package are installed
from Ubuntu Oneiric repo (from oneiric-updates). Today Firefox in Oneiric repo
was updated to 12.0 version. And Russian locale is off. Looks like Firefox
can't see localization extensions in 12.0 version. This bug related to Ubuntu
because Firefox installed from oneiric-updates repo.
Please help me to correct this bug.
Thank you.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 989632] Re: Firefox loose localization after update

2012-04-27 Thread Chris Coulson
Unfortunately, the inability to use Apport is a Mint issue and I can't
help you with that. But, using Apport to report Firefox bugs is
mandatory now and we will generally close any that aren't reported
correctly (we get far too many reports to be asking reporters for the
same information over and over again).

I just downloaded a Mint ISO, and it seems they are installing stuff in
to /usr/lib/firefox/extensions for some strange reason (this location
has never been used for anything), but this means that the symlink to
/usr/lib/firefox-addons/extensions is broken now that we've dropped the
version number from the Firefox install path. There are no packages in
Ubuntu or Debian which put stuff in there, and the tools we provide for
packaging firefox extensions don't use this location either (we were
quite careful to check this before making this change).

So, you need to report this issue to Mint I'm afraid.

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 989632] Re: Firefox loose localization after update

2012-04-27 Thread Alex
I see all extensions in /usr/lib/firefox-addons/extensions. In
/usr/lib/firefox/extensions only one symlink to mint-search-enhancer addon.
I think Mint paths is not important because all Firefox related packages are
installed from Ubuntu Oneiric repo. Booth forefox package and firefox-locale-ru
package are installed from same repo and updated from oneiric-updates.
Before Firefox update to 12.0 version all work fine (in 11.x version), but
after update I see this bug. And before this update all extensions are work
fine. Now all extensions work fine too, except localization extensions. For
example DownThemAll and Ferebug work fine now and all other addons too. It is
confuse me.

I have posted this bug to Mint bugtracker too. But I post it here
because my Firefox installed from Ubuntu Oneiric repo.
