Andrew Trieger commented on AMQ-5181:
-

I get this error without using replicated leveldb.
Just download 5.10.0, on linux or mac, start it with no changes, works.
(kahadb).
change kahadb line to:
  levelDB directory=${activemq.data}/leveldb /
start, and this exception is thrown.

 Replicated LevelDB Corruption on Solaris

 Key: AMQ-5181
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMQ-5181
 Project: ActiveMQ
  Issue Type: Bug
  Components: activemq-leveldb-store
Affects Versions: 5.9.1, 5.10.0
 Environment: Solaris 5.10 on Sparc
Reporter: Ed Schmed

 Steps to recreate:
3 Node ActiveMQ cluster using replicated leveldb, AMQ 5.9.1
 Start all three instances
Using the web console, connect to the master and create a queue named test.
Also using the web console, send 100 persistent messages with priority 4 to
 the queue.
Issue kill command against the PID for the master broker
When another broker tries to become master, CorruptionExceptions are thrown:

[jira] [Assigned] (AMQ-5221) AMQP support has a hardcoded prefetch value of 100 on the server side

2014-06-25 Thread Timothy Bish (JIRA)

Timothy Bish reassigned AMQ-5221:

AMQP support has a hardcoded prefetch value of 100 on the server side
 -

 Key: AMQ-5221
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMQ-5221
 Project: ActiveMQ
  Issue Type: Bug
  Components: AMQP
Affects Versions: 5.10.0
Reporter: Jonathan Sloman
Assignee: Timothy Bish
 Fix For: 5.11.0

When connecting as an AMQP 1.0 client, it is possible to specify a prefetch
 value. However, in org.apache.activemq.transport.amqp.AmqpProtocolConverter,
prefetch is effectively hardcoded to 100. This makes it impossible to, for
example, set prefetch to 1 to implement a competing consumers style pattern.

[jira] [Created] (AMQ-5247) Implementation forces to set plaintext user and password for activemq.jmx.user/password

2014-06-25 Thread Benjamin Graf (JIRA)
Benjamin Graf created AMQ-5247:
--

Summary: Implementation forces to set plaintext user and password
for activemq.jmx.user/password
 Key: AMQ-5247
 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMQ-5247
 Project: ActiveMQ
  Issue Type: Improvement
  Components: OSGi/Karaf
Affects Versions: 5.10.0
Reporter: Benjamin Graf

Actually karaf based distributions like ServiceMix have user/password for
activemq commands in plaintext files. It is recommended to crypt credential
information in karaf but there is no possibility to do for activemq.jmx.*. In
my opinion activemq-karaf should explicitly set user/password by using realm
from internal API.

Fwd: ASF Board Report - Initial Reminder for Jul 2014

2014-06-25 Thread Hiram Chirino
FYI: time to start thinking about what to report to the board this month.

-- Forwarded message --
From: ASF Board bo...@apache.org
Date: Wed, Jun 25, 2014 at 10:15 AM
Subject: ASF Board Report - Initial Reminder for Jul 2014
To: Hiram Chirino chir...@apache.org

This email was sent by an automated system on behalf of the ASF Board.
It is an initial reminder to give you plenty of time to prepare the report.

The meeting is scheduled for Wed, 16 July 2014, 10:30:30:00 PST and
the deadline for
submitting your report is 1 full week prior to that (Wed, Jul 9th)!

According to board records, you are listed as the chair of at least one
committee that is due to submit a report this month. [1] [2]

Details on which project reports are due and how to submit a report
are enclosed below.

Please submit your report with sufficient time to allow the board members
to review and digest. Again, the very latest you should submit your report
is 1 full week (7days) prior to the board meeting (Wed, Jul 9th).

If you feel that an error has been made, please consult [1] and if there
is still an issue then contact the board directly.

As always, PMC chairs are welcome to attend the board meeting.

Thanks,
The ASF Board

Submitting your Report
--

Full details about the process and schedule are in [1].

The report should be committed to the meeting agenda in the board directory
in the foundation repository, trying to keep a similar format to the others.
This can be found at:

  https://svn.apache.org/repos/private/foundation/board

Your report should also be sent in plain-text format to bo...@apache.org
with a Subject line that follows the below format:

Subject: [REPORT] Project Name

Cutting and pasting directly from a Wiki is not acceptable due to formatting
issues. Line lengths should be limited to 77 characters.

Resolutions
---

There are several templates for use for various Board resolutions.
They can be found in [3] and you are encouraged to use them. It is
strongly recommended that if you have a resolution before the board,
you are encouraged to attend that board meeting.

ASF Board Reports
-

Reports are due from you for the following committees:

 - ActiveMQ
