Hi,

I've been informed (on the q.t) that I never actually requested a vote
before announcing that the ant 1.7.1 beta tarballs were available.

So officially at the moment, the tarballs on people.apache.org that I
announced are beta-in-potentia :(

A retrospective vote on these tarballs has been proposed, so

The primary responsibilities of this position are in the Java build area. 
This team provides builds for external customers and for use by development
and testing groups as part of the development process.  Using your Ant
skills, you will contribute to the new Java Build System (iFABS) effort in
the areas of enhancements, tooling and bug fixes.  Tooling efforts will
focus on the development of tools to manage the builds in a multi-platform,
multi-machine environment.

 

This position is in support of the enterprise class Java Build needs of SAS. 
The successful candidate must exhibit a demonstrated proficiency in Ant
programming; be able to work alone or as part of a team; must communicate
well, be flexible and adapt quickly to rapidly changing situations.

Essential
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field 
5 years experience of software development/programming 
1 year experience of Java programming 
Additional
Demonstrated Ant programming proficiency 
Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills 
Good written and oral communication skills 
Highly motivated, intelligent self-starter with natural curiosity 
Ability to work independently or within a team 
Individuals selected for further consideration may be required to provide
additional documentation
Preferences
Solid knowledge of software development principals and methodologies
Additional Information
 
To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United
States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for
employment visa status.
