I remember Stefan wanted me to get the maven team to also show 1.7.1 in the maven-metadata.xml files. Not based on any knowledge more on what I was afraid could happen if those versions were missing. If Brian says things are fine, let's trust him. Brian fixed the maven-metadata.xml [1] by importing 1.7.0, 1.7.1 and 1.8.0 ant in nexus. Re: [VOTE-RESULTS] use nexus for maven upload of ant release
Hi, I have succeeded to upload ant 1.8.1 using nexus. [1] Thanks Maarten for your help. There is an issue though that the maven-metadata.xml files such as [2] now are mentioning only the 1.8.1 version of ant. Brian Fox says that this does not affect the usability of these versions (1.7.0, 1.7.1, 1.8.0). I remember something different though. I remember Stefan wanted me to get the maven team to also show 1.7.1 in the maven-metadata.xml files. These maven-metatada.xml are managed by the maven infrastructure, not created/uploaded by us. Re: [VOTE-RESULTS] use nexus for maven upload of ant release
Antoine: I'm not sure about this, but it may be that the maven-metadata shows that 1.8.1 is the only version managed through the Apache Nexus install, but when 1.8.1 propagates out to maven central, the earlier versions as well as 1.8.1 will be represented in that metadata. -Matt On 5/24/10, Antoine Levy-Lambert anto...@gmx.de wrote: Hi, I have succeeded to upload ant 1.8.1 using nexus. [VOTE-RESULTS] use nexus for maven upload of ant release
Hi, we have 11 +1s to the 3 questions asked concerning uploading ant, ivy, and the antlibs to nexus [1]. In principle the vote is open one more day, but I doubt it is going to change. I have taken notice of the wishes of Matt to use ivy to do the upload. Maarten has given me some information about uploading ant to nexus using ivy [2] on the ivy user list. I have also taken notice of the interest to upload javadoc and sources jar/zip files. This could be done in ant 1.8.2. Our interactions with Brian Fox concerning this are visible here [3]. My plan concerning this is to install a nexus instance on my PC or Mac, do test uploads there, and when I get it to work will upload to the central nexus instance. However I am very busy with my day job and my family and might only be able to start actually doing this during the week-end.
