Re: [YouTube channel] Add video: Apache Beam meetup London 2: use case in finance + IO in Beam and Splittable DoFns

2018-03-12 Thread Matthias Baetens
Hey Ismaël,

Thanks for the feedback. I think that is a great idea tbh. When getting to
know Beam it was more of a coincidence bumping into these and having one
repository with all of them is kind of what I was looking to do with the
Beam YouTube channel.
Either linking them on the page or some other way would improve this
journey greatly, but I don't know about the legal aspects of these things,
happy to have some guidance here!
I'll do an effort of compiling a list (Gris has a similar knowledge repo
with other resources) when I have some time!

I have now posted the first recording
 of our second meetup
to the channel!

Best,
Matthias

I was wondering if we can also add a playlist that links to
presentations Beamers have done in different conferences, e.g. some of
the public available talks from the past by Frances/Tyler/others are
worth to be included so they can be easily found. (of course not sure
if we need approval from the speakers/confs to add a link to a
playlist (tbd).

No videos there yet though, waiting for approval to publish the first one!

Cheers,
Matthias

[YouTube channel] Add video: Apache Beam meetup London 2: use case in finance + IO in Beam and Splittable DoFns

2018-02-20 Thread Matthias Baetens
Hi all,

This is a proposal to launch the Apache Beam YouTube channel and at the
same time add the first video to the channel.

We would like to use the channel to centralize all videos / recordings
related to Apache Beam and make it a community driven channel, so people
have a one stop shop for learnings about Beam.

The first video would be the recording of the second Beam meetup in London:
Apache Beam meetup London 2: use case in finance + IO in Beam and
Splittable DoFns. The video can be seen on the channel if you have login
details (it is currently set to private).

Please let me know if there are any questions or comments!

Best regards,
Matthias
