-- Reinhard Pötz Managing Director, {Indoqa} GmbH http://www.indoqa.com/en/people/reinhard.poetz/ Member of the Apache Software Foundation Apache Cocoon Committer, PMC member reinh...@apache.org ---BeginMessage--- Dear PMCs, Please could you forward the below message to your user@ and dev@ mailing lists, thanks in advance. - The Travel Assistance Committee is taking in applications for those wanting to attend ApacheCon US 2009 (Oakland) which takes place between the 2nd and 6th November 2009. The Travel Assistance Committee is looking for people who would like to be able to attend ApacheCon US 2009 who may need some financial support in order to get there. There are limited places available, and all applications will be scored on their individual merit. Applications are open to all open source developers who feel that their attendance would benefit themselves, their project(s), the ASF and open source in general. Financial assistance is available for flights, accommodation, subsistence and Conference fees either in full or in part, depending on circumstances. It is intended that all our ApacheCon events are covered, so it may be prudent for those in Europe and/or Asia to wait until an event closer to them comes up - you are all welcome to apply for ApacheCon US of course, but there should be compelling reasons for you to attend an event further away that your home location for your application to be considered above those closer to the event location. More information can be found on the main Apache website at http://www.apache.org/travel/index.html - where you will also find a link to the online application and details for submitting. Applications for applying for travel assistance will open on 27th July 2009 and close of the 17th August 2009. Good luck to all those that will apply. Regards, The Travel Assistance Committee ---End Message---

Perhaps by acting like the two old guys in the muppet show...would be fun I guess. Seriously, is anyone of the active committers interested? Carsten -- Carsten Ziegeler

Actually Carsten, didn't you do a lot of the work to convert to Spring? Didn't you do the Spring configuration stuff? The experience of converting to Spring and a discussion about what our configuration extensions provide would be nice. I'd go as I'd like to understand it (if I haven't had a chance to read the code by then). I don't recall seeing mention of it on the list but the deadline for submitting proposals is April 30. I am sure that we could have a few talks with all that has gone on. It would also be great if 2.2.0 was released by then.

[Fwd: Apachecon US 2003 advertising]
Good idea from Ceki! :-) Also given that Cocoon has half-a-bazillion sessions... Pier ---BeginMessage--- Hello all, Let me begin by saying that I am not on the AC 2003 committee. However, I think that the organizers would agree that advertising AC US 2003 will contribute to its success. Thus, I urge all ASF members as well committers to add a prominent icon to their project pages as soon as possible. Today is a good day. [Fwd: Call for Participation for ApacheCon US 2003]
Hi All, Ken has sent out the Call for Participation for ApacheCon 2003. This is a great chance to get some exposure for your project and to meet other ASF folks face to face. The XML projects were *vastly* under-represented last year, so I'm trying to get the word out. Please consider submitting a proposal for a presentation this year. People want to hear about the projects from the folks who wrote the code.
