Re: Fwd: Kafka Summit listing on ASF events site

2019-07-25 Thread Austin Bennett
Hi Melissa,

Is there a rate for Apache Members/Committers?

I recently saw Flink is offering that for their forthcoming EU Summit:
https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/%3CCAAdrtT2geJjp

Also, @sha...@apache.org and @dev
, that one (Flink EU conference) might be good
to get on the Apache Calendar?

Cheers,
Austin

Apache Bench Extended Tool??

2019-07-25 Thread Owen Rubel
Hey All,

So I have been a user of Apache Bench for the longest time but have always
wanted to use it with a graphing tool so finally integrated it with Gnuplot
and released it as a tool this week. Got some really great feedback and
people using it in companies already.

Was wondering is there a simple process for just submitting a 'script' as
part of apache-utils' project??

Or should this be a separate project? I mean I did build this in Groovy
(but Groovy IS an Apache project :))

Respectfully, simply stating that a place is a better option isn't going
to carry much weight without

1) Someone on-site that is volunteering to coordinate the event
2) An actual proposal including venues and budgets

I'm very pleased that there's someone who is local to the area. To me,
this is pretty critical table stakes, so that we don't have someone
coordinating the event from afar. Thanks for speaking up, Rohit.

Happy to help if you need help around hotel and conference center in/around
