Do you have a specific contact or conversation you can forward? Or is
it a generic address we should find ourselves?

Hi all,

I think we probably should at least tell them as soon as possible, that we want
to attend and which seessions, which people would be willing to participate.

As I mentioned, unfortunately I won’t be able to attend.

Chris

EU Commission BDTI: Help us bring Data-Driven Decision-Making to Public Administrations

2022-10-26 Thread BODINO Maria Claudia
Hello,

This is Maria Claudia and Athena, we are part of the BDTI team.

The Big Data Test Infrastructure (BDTI) was created by the European Commission
in 2019 as part of the Digital Europe Programme (DEP), which aims to accelerate
the economic recovery and shape the digital transformation of European society
and economy by increasing the availability, quality and usability of public
sector information fostering the re-use of open data for a data-driven public
sector.

The BDTI is a ready-to-use and free analytics cloud platform which aims to help
public administrations to use open data and derive insights to support them in
their decision-making. The first pilots have successfully helped national
administrations to optimize their processes and increased transparency. We hope
to see other projects flourish which will contribute to the common good.

The current ecosystem is completely based on open-source tools which is a
strong requirement for our broader mission . As part of our BDTI
ecosystem,
we offer Apache Spark and Apache Airflow, and we hope that your tool will
support national administrations on their journey to data-driven decision
making and leverage the innovative and collaborative power of open source.

To encourage its successful use, we ensure that users have sufficient resources
at their disposal. Considering this aspect and as we saw on your website your
use cases for the public sector, would you be interested in setting up a
meeting with us to discuss how you could support the digital literacy of our
users?

We believe this will be beneficial for our users to not only engage more
dynamically with your product but to build bridges between the public sector
and initiatives like yours to contribute to the development of open data and
open-source projects.

To learn more about BDTI, do not hesitate to visit our page: Big Data Test
Infrastructure | Shaping Europe’s digital future
(europa.eu)

We are at your disposal if you have any questions,

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Kind regards,

Maria Claudia and Athena from the BDTI team
