INFRA requested that each project PMC asks, separately, for fields to be added. In my preceding message, I was wondering whether we could spare some configuration (by the PMC and INFRA) and update work (by you) through 1. having those fields defined in COMDEV JIRA 2. every TLP (not only those projects that don't have JIRA) would file every GSoC idea as COMDEV report, that in turn would link to a JIRA task in the concerned TLP's JIRA (for those that do use JIRA). Re: [GSoC] add custom fields to JIRA
Sorry for top-posting COMDEV JIRA is being used by the projects which don't use JIRA as tracker from mobile (sorry for typos ;) On Mon, Mar 14, 2022, 16:28 Gilles Sadowski wrote: > Hello. > > Le lun. 14 mars 2022 à 08:16, Maxim Solodovnik a > écrit : > > > > I get no objections so far > > So I'll create JIRA to add these fields for COMDEV :) > > Do you mean to create another JIRA? > > What about this one: > https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-22893 > ? > > Perhaps it will indeed be clearer if we create (in effect: duplicate) > reports in the "COMDEV" JIRA project[1] and link them to the > corresponding task in the specific TLP JIRA project. > The COMDEV JIRA would hold the "administrative" fields (thus they > don't have to be added to the any other TLP). Hello. Le lun. 14 mars 2022 à 08:16, Maxim Solodovnik a écrit : > > I get no objections so far > So I'll create JIRA to add these fields for COMDEV :) Do you mean to create another JIRA? What about this one: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-22893 ? Perhaps it will indeed be clearer if we create (in effect: duplicate) reports in the "COMDEV" JIRA project[1] and link them to the corresponding task in the specific TLP JIRA project. The COMDEV JIRA would hold the "administrative" fields (thus they don't have to be added to the any other TLP). [Same for the "gsoc" tags.] WDYT? Gilles [1] There are indeed several old GSoC-related issues there: https://issues.apache.org/jira/projects/COMDEV - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@community.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@community.apache.org
Re: [GSoC] add custom fields to JIRA
I get no objections so far So I'll create JIRA to add these fields for COMDEV :) from mobile (sorry for typos ;) On Wed, Mar 9, 2022, 22:02 Maxim Solodovnik wrote: > Hello All, > > I would like to add custom GSoC fields > > potential-mentor - multiselect field > skill level - prepopulated choices. > > to com-dev JIRA as described in this ticket [1] > > Please let me know if you have any objections :) > > [1] https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-22893 > > from mobile (sorry for typos ;) > >
