The main cause appears to be due to DAFFODIL-1893. The compiled schema takes a
while to compile due to it's size/complexity, so not caching it hurts alot.
Resolving as a duplicate.
Improvements to the schema may be possible (e.g.. simplifications, choice
dispatch) that might make iCalendar more performant at compile time or runtime,
but those issues are specific to iCalendar and should be tracked on the
iCalendar bug tracker.
