 Hi,

short: We need a DS release, to release BatchEE, to release TomEE M1.

In general i think we are ready for a M1, our tests are running,
OWB+Weld+Wildfly builds are green. TomEE and Payara are almost green, see
 the other mail.

 WDYT?

 Best regards,
 Thomas

Cause it was before CDI 2.0 and SeContainer, now it is there we don't have
a case for deltaspike anymore in BatchEE and we already have the compat.
We just kept it in pre-jakarta release for backward compat but since next
release will break it anyway we'll just drop it normally.

Adding is always ok compared to dropping after.
Anyway, as mentionned M, alpha, beta, RC don't really enable to get user
feedback so skipping it since we are not in a bad shape is likely worth it
for the project.

Indeed just my 2cts and not a veto or anything close at all.

why is not needed for batchee? ->
https://github.com/apache/geronimo-batchee/blob/master/pom.xml#L66

Im not really sure about doing a "real" release as we removed so many code
and features, i'm not sure if we removed to much or miss something.
Therefore i thought about a M1 or RC1 first.

Hi Thomas,

This is not needed for BatchEE but ultimately I guess we can do a 2.0.0,
nothing crazy is really expected after anyway and we can do 2.0.1 if needed
no? (milestones and alpha are always dead numbers from my perspective so it
is either ready or it is not - this philosophy makes things simpler after
IMHO).
