Re: Questions about World Map Qualification

2020-02-18 Thread Ovilia
Hi,

ECharts does not provide the map data by itself.
It is suggested to use map providers like Baidu Map, Gaode Map, Google Map
and so on. You can check if they have approval numbers. At least Baidu Map
has this to my knowledge.

ECharts extensions for these maps can be found at
https://echarts.apache.org/en/download-extension.html

Thanks

I have not seen the results of using either CDN compared which is a setup ASF
Infra is willing to support, and the guidance ECharts has received.

Questions about World Map Qualification

2020-02-18 Thread Niu, Gina Yina
Dear,
We want to use your world map API, because the product needs to be published, I
have the following questions to confirm.
1. Has the Apache Echarts world map been approved by the Ministry of Natural
Resources of China? Is there an approval number?
2. If Apache Echarts has not been approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources
of China, can you provide us with your surveying and mapping qualifications? We
will submit to the Ministry of Natural Resources for review, thank you.

I heard there are domain names paid and supported by ASF. I am not sure.

Re: [DISCUSS] Update on the Website transferation

2020-02-18 Thread Ovilia
It's currently hosted on a Baidu server maintained by Shuang Su.
Maybe it's more proper to move it to a cloud service like Baidu Cloud or
Ali Cloud or so on, and make PPMC have the full control over that account.
As about the cloud service cost, does ASF have support for that, or what
should we do if some of our PPMC wish to pay for it?

Thanks
