Good day, We are using AWS and it is quite common for us to terminate instances very often, which introduces ip address change and requires to restart brokers one by one. Maybe there is a knowledge on how to avoid such restarts?
According to Confluent recommendations(on their web page), one should use Elastic IPs, but it exposes our zookeeper to outside world. >From our side we looked at a zk Kafka client, which uses original zk client, and it happens that there is an issue in the library and even almost merged PR https://github.com/apache/zookeeper/pull/150, which will solve the existing problem.
