Re: Change webconsole context path

2012-08-15 Thread Achim Nierbeck
+1 for console it's more easy to remember ;)

2012/8/15 Łukasz Dywicki l...@code-house.org:
 Hey,
 I would like ask you (and notify) about change of webconsole context path.
 Current /cns path was with us since begining of prototype. It's short but not
 intuitive. As the Felix WebConsole uses /system/console we can use /console
 without conflicts. What do you think? Do you have other proposals we could
 use?

 Best regards,
 Lukasz

 we use them exactly as maven does they will be also easier to understand.
 However, I think that the profiles concept is a totally different story. The
 use case here is quite simple and an approach like install=manual would
 fit more.

Hi Andrei,

I gonna raise a Jira to track it. For now, we didn't progress on that point.

Re: [PROPOSAL] Features autostart attribute

2012-08-15 Thread Andrei Pozolotin
Hello again;

just to give a background of my use case:

motivation:
* have a dynamic configuration-driven karaf instance
* which can self-update or re-configure itself on demand

solution
* periodic pull of configuration from configuration repository on github
* link karaf auto deploy folder to the remote configuration repository
* automatic deploy/un-deploy of features.xml and package.kar per
changes in the deploy folder

Thank you,

Andrei
