[GitHub] karaf pull request #262: KARAF-4813, RMI should not listen to all hosts

2016-11-02 Thread lkiesow
GitHub user lkiesow opened a pull request:

https://github.com/apache/karaf/pull/262

KARAF-4813, RMI should not listen to all hosts

The default RMI configuration will make Karaf listen to all hosts.
Instead. it is usually good practice to, by default, listen to localhost
only to avoid possible security risks.

This patch modified the default configuration file to set RMI to
localhost.

You can merge this pull request into a Git repository by running:

$ git pull https://github.com/lkiesow/karaf karaf-4813-rmi-host-default

Re: Karaf boot status

2016-11-02 Thread Jean-Baptiste Onofré

Hi Morgan,

we are busy on Karaf 4.0.8, 4.1.0, Decanter and Cellar releases.

We would definitely need a new "jump" there.

JB

Hi Milen,

you are right, the Karaf Boot PoC is there:

https://github.com/jbonofre/karaf-boot

I plan to resume my work on it next week and donate to Karaf in a couple
of weeks.

The jpa branch is also interested.

If you are interested to test and contribute on it, please let me know, I
will add you as contributor on the github.

Hi guys,

what is the current status of Karaf boot?
Is it something that average developer can play with? Any usage samples?
Any docs / notes?

I looked at https://github.com/jbonofre/karaf-boot but this looks very
simple and it does not give a starting point if I want to build something
on my own and not just compile and run the samples.

Milen
