Maybe it's because "build 6605" was a biiig email (1.9 MB), and Google
punted indexing any text whatsoever from its body? I see this in the
build 6605 email:

In fact, now when I run this search, I'm seeing additional results
after Jul 2! And, they seem to be the smaller emails.

Ah ... interesting. I wonder if maybe something about the content of the
jenkins emails + the multipart/mixed wrapping done by exmlm occasionally
causes gmail to balk at trying to parse the various parts of *some*
jenkins emails (like maybe just he ones with multi-byte characters?) so
you are left with only the headers being searchable?

That still doesn't explain this descrepancy though...

mike says the newest email gmail will return from that serach is Jul 2,
but Han, myself, (and if IIRC several other people) are all seeing lots of
results since then ... just not all of them, notably the specific one
Mike asked about ("Lucene-Solr-trunk-Linux (64bit/jdk1.8.0-ea-b96) - Build

Yes, 0 results here. 1 result when remove 'regression'.

And seems that it returns no result for query:

  from:jenk...@thetaphi.de subject:"build 6605" ANY_WORD_NOT_IN_TITLE

Maybe for some mails, only title field are taken into consideration?

A recent search got results up to #6530. Still no 6605.

My results of searching in gmail.com match what sarowe describes ... a
search for "regression" does return results after July 2, but it does not
match some specific messages like the "build 6605" email you specifically
asked about.

This gets zero results.

I get a whole bunch, including some from today, *after* the 6605
one, e.g., 6530. However, 6605 is missing.

Likewise, searching for:
from:jenk...@thetaphi.de regression

turns up 6530, but not 6605.

Searching for:
from:jenk...@thetaphi.de

shows both.

Was this some temporary Google bug?

Hi Mike,

The first search gives zero hits, but the second shows an "infinite" amount
of results, dating back to June and earlier.

It could be that, if the bug holds, it gets rolled out in steps to
different zones, as you reside in States, I'm in Finland. Lets see if the
bug hits this coast.

Like Steve, I can find recent mails. For example

from:jenk...@thetaphi.de regression "build 6487"

gives me 1 result (July 14th). But it doesn't seem to work with very
recent emails...

I get 0 results. When I remove "regression", I get 1 result.

I get results up through today, including for Lucene-Solr-4.x-Linux build 6523,
but not for "build 6605".

I get results up through today for each of "failed", "replication", and
"handler", when combined with "from:jenk...@thetaphi.de".
