It is not possible to know in DefaultLogger.

Re: [CANCELLED] [VOTE] Release Apache Maven 3.5.1

2017-10-17 Thread Dawid Weiss
It's a pity these two didn't make it in:

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MNG-6261
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MNG-6262

These are true showstoppers for Windows users (like us).

[ANN] I'm planning to cut 3.5.2 soon

2017-10-17 Thread Stephen Connolly
Assuming
https://builds.apache.org/blue/organizations/jenkins/maven-3.x-jenkinsfile/detail/master/134/pipeline
passes (I may have to revert some integration tests) then I intend to roll
3.5.2 either later today or perhaps some time tomorrow (of course my
current work workload is such that it could be next week/month ;-) )

I'd like a code freeze on master today/tomorrow assuming I can get it cut
today/tomorrow... if it takes me longer then commit away as long as master
is releasable ;-)

[CANCELLED] [VOTE] Release Apache Maven 3.5.1

2017-10-17 Thread Stephen Connolly
This vote, despite being successful, is being cancelled.

As release manager for this vote I have made the decision is that releasing
with the two issues:

MNG-6275
MNG-6209

Would present an unnecessary risk to users.

We're going to revert those to allow for less risky fixes to be developed.

I'll call a vote on 3.5.2 once I get it spun.

When POM is parsed, workspace reader is already loaded, so it would be
too late. So it needs to be loaded by an extension.

Eclipse M2E is one example. Another one is XMvn, which uses workspace
reader to resolve dependencies from system repository (not in Maven format):
