Most probably this year. We are waiting for a review, that would happen
most probably during the weekend.

The same happens to me in Fedora 29, but I never tried with JDK 8 always
with JDK 11/12/13 and never successfully start payara or glassfish within
the IDE.

Re: Running GlassFish Under vc2 - Must use JDK 8

2019-03-02 Thread Jose Ch
To be clear I used JDK 8 for the Platform option for Glassfish and Payara
and JDK 11/12/13 for Netbeans and never successfully started them. I will
try many combinations with different vendors (but always use JDK 8 for the
app servers) as soon as I get the chance this weekend.

Re: Help, JavaScript fans! was: Use Graal.js (parser) for NetBeans 11

2019-01-31 Thread Jose Ch
Hey everyone,

This is from http://www.graalvm.org/docs/release-notes/ about its latest
release:
1.0-RC11
JavaScript

   - Graal.js only supports ECMAScript 5 (ES5) and newer, and enforces that
   rule.
   - Added support for sharing Java objects using the experimental Node.js
   Worker Threads API.
   - Added support for ScriptEngine GLOBAL_SCOPE bindings.
   - Added options to enable/disable several extension features e.g.,
   print() or load().
   - Added options to disable features for security reasons e.g., eval().

Cheers

Jose

Re: Apache NetBeans 11.0-vc3 Is Available for Testing!

2019-03-11 Thread Jose Ch
Hi,

I have a problem with this release when I tried to activate the Java Web
and EE plugin (image attached NetBeans-11) it displays "The plugin named
org.netbeans.libs.oracle.jsparser is needed and not found" this happened
with both the binary and source artifacts. I compiled the sources with
Oracle 8u202 and the command "ant -Dcluster.config=release", I used this
same JDK to run the compiled project and the downloaded binary. I also
delete my /home/.netbeans and /home/.cache/netbeans directories before
start the application with both the compiled and downloaded binary.

Also when I activate the Java SE plugin it activates but the status does
not change to activated (image attached NetBeans-11-2).

Jose.
