Re: Removing from Jira the some of the unnecessary "versions"
Jacques, A few minutes ago I updated and expanded the notes about Jira version handling when a new branch is created. Thanks Jacopo On Fri, Dec 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM Jacques Le Roux wrote: > > +1 > > So we need to update the "Release Plan" wiki page to note that "next > releaseS" must be created when releasing current ones. Re: Removing from Jira the some of the unnecessary "versions"
Hi Jacques, the note about Jira version is already in the wiki page: "In Jira, mark the version as "released" and create a new version for the next release" I think I added that note the last time I edited the page, a few weeks ago. Re: Removing from Jira the some of the unnecessary "versions"
+1 So we need to update the "Release Plan" wiki page to note that "next releaseS" must be created when releasing current ones. Thanks for having done it for 18.12.04, was very convenient this morning :) Jacques Le 17/12/2021 à 10:30, Jacopo Cappellato a écrit : Hi all, I think we should remove some "versions" from Jira because they are redundant and may cause confusion to users and contributors. Removing from Jira the some of the unnecessary "versions"
Hi all, I think we should remove some "versions" from Jira because they are redundant and may cause confusion to users and contributors. I am specifically talking about: "Release branch 17.12" and "Release branch 18.12": if bugs or fixes concern a specific branch (rather than a release) then they should be assigned to the unreleased latest version (e.g. currently "18.12.04", that is the next release, instead of "release branch 18.12") "Trunk": if a bug or a fix concerns the trunk (rather than a release) then they should be assigned to the "Upcoming branch" version Jacopo
