See what you think. http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0.html We are aware of projects re-using our Apache License 2 code and distributing their releases under the MPL or LGPL, so if you are looking for a "liberal" option that is free, open source and that will work for OpenOffice as well as other projects, Apache License 2 surely fits the bill. doing my little bit
Hello, First off, I’d like to thank you for making your product available for PC users. I would like to contribute to what you are doing in my own odd way. I use gift cards (Visa & MasterCard) to make online purchases, and usually there’s a nominal amount left, which I discard. Instead of throwing the card away with this amount remaining, I’d like to donate it to Open Office (as if making a purchase?). This amount is usually anywhere from just under $1 to $3, and I use at least one card per month. I don’t want to offend anyone, which is why I am asking first. Thanks again for what you do. All the talks are paid by companies. I have written earlier, that it did not work out. They wanted me to pay for everything, and even asked if I could bring my own projector. That of course made me politely inform them that I am a volunteer and cannot use a lot of money on such an event. I suggested that they next year, ask the companies to pay a little more, and use that on volunteers, just e.g. a lunch to signal respect of the volunteers. That is an external dependency, so the patch will be brought in when we upgrade our copy of NSS. See http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/openoffice/trunk/main/external_deps.lst?view=markup line 293. If Raymond can check whether a recent release at ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/security/nss/releases/ builds fine for him, then the issue he should open on our Bugzilla is simply "upgrade NSS from 3.14.4 to 3.16.1" (or whatever works) and the upgrade will be queued for the next OpenOffice release.
