RE: problem with web site staging build
Hello, We saw there was a problem with buildbot about the consultants listing for infolearn”. Is there anything we can do? Should we reapply/resend? This is the infolearn XML file ?xml version=1.0 encoding=UTF-8? consultants consultant nameinfolearn - TEST4U.eu/name countryGlobal/country practiceCertification/practice practiceTraining/practice practiceDevelopment/practice description Infolearn offers a complete range of Apache OpenOffice (Writer, Calc, Impress, Base) in-application tests through TEST4U. TEST4U is an automated test which cooperates with the actual applications instead of flash simulation and can be used to: - prepare the students for certification examinations (e.g. ECDL/ICDL, DIPLOMA etc) - train and assess employees. TEST4U with its 700 000 users and 7 000 000 000 (yes 7 billion) served questions since 2003 is worldwide the only application that works with all these applications in a real working environment. /description websitehttps://www.test4u.eu/en/e-tests/apache-openoffice/website emaili...@test4u.eu/email phone+30 2310 888 771/phone /consultant /consultants Greeting from Greece The TEST4U Team -Original Message- From: Kay Schenk [mailto:kay.sch...@gmail.com] Sent: Sunday, July 26, 2015 8:01 PM To: dev@openoffice.apache.org Subject: Re: problem with web site staging build On 07/26/2015 12:48 AM, Andrea Pescetti wrote: On 25/07/2015 Kay Schenk wrote: I just committed the new consultants listing for infolearn to /openoffice/ooo-site/trunk/content/bizdev/consultants.html and much to my surprise, The buldbot has erred out. Hi Dennis I have absolutely no problem with your changes as long as September 5th remain unchanged. however as we both know, the opinion thst I should follow the idea of a single persone have been raised quite direct in private, do could you please endure PMC consensus to the proposal. With consensus I willchabfe it imidiatly. rgds jan i On Thursday, July 30, 2015, Dennis E. Hamilton orc...@apache.org wrote: This is not a nomination statement. This allows discussion on the specific candidate, including response to any objections, and the achievement of consensus without the awful situation that Louis Suarez-Potts endured in the previous determination of a Chair recommendation. 2. I think candidates should be current PMC members (although that could simply be a matter of stated qualifications in the process we are starting now). I base that on neither of the previous candidates being current PMC members. I found, for myself, on joining the PMC after the previous election, that I was definitely missing background and understanding of the status of the PMC and issues it was being faced with. I also missed seeing the way the outgoing Chair (i.e., Andrea Pescetti) provided examples as a PMC Chair. English Dictionaries - Issue with Extension site
Hello! I was doing the monthly update and after uploading the OXT and filling-up the fields, I attempted to download it in order to check if it was working. It opened the usual SourceForge page but I got a warning on Firefox that the file wasn't found. So, I tried to reupload it and republish it and then unpublish the first one. I got a warning: This extension is currently not published, please contact the system administrator at aooad...@users.sourceforge.net to have it published. Now I can only access the extension page when I am logged in, otherwise I get an Access Denied: http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/english-dictionaries-apache-openoffice I have already e-mailed the SourceForge guy but I was wondering if someone with administrator rights could make it work? But there is a little problem to get this also to the production webserver. There is nothing more you need to do. IMHO we need some more patience to get the problem fixed - especially now in the summer and therefore vacation time. @Andrea: Do you have a response from the Infra team - or a JIRA issue? [DISCUSS] Would you like to be the new chair of AOO ?
Hi. I will resign at the board meeting in September, so the current schedule looks like: Accept/Nominate/Discuss candidates until August 16th Discussion ends August 23th Voting ends September 4th Resolution send to board September 5th. New chair takes over immediately after the board meeting. The reason for my resignation is an ongoing disagreement between part of the PMC and myself. I expected the PMC to be willing to make changes when I was elected, but at least my way seems to be counterproductive. The 2 main discrepancies are: - the board reports which, even though discussed publicly, have been the cause of negative discussions after being sent to board - the attempt to make a cooperation with LO, caused many discussions, but ended with adding restrictions, that made it impossible for me to continue the attempt. I do not want to go deeper into details, since it does not help finding a new chair. As a volunteer I want to work, where the work makes a positive difference, and not cause endless negative discussions. I hope a new chair can help unite the PMC and help drive the project forward. The PMC was informed about this July 24th, and after some discussions, the time has come to find new candidates. Please use this mail thread to announce yourself as a candidate, or to nominate someone else (remark that person must state whether or not the nomination is accepted). There are no formal limits to being a nominee, apart from committer status. The rules for the vote, will depend on the number of candidates but is basically a majority vote, with PMC votes being binding. rgds jan i.
