I also changed the configuration to be as close as possible to what we
use in releases (for Windows).

Unfortunately now the Linux32 bots are stuck... :-(

​Thanks to you and Marcus for this information. I forgot to add that I
routinely install the Freedesktop "desktop interface". I'm sure it's some
sort of Linux environment settings that aren't be detected correctly.  ​

And, if this is the case, on Linux, it is not unusual  that the default
locations get changed and/or the names themselves.​ When I get a moment, I
will investigate further.​

when you download OpenOffice, a file dialog is shown in your browser. 
Here you should have the option to save it to a location of your choice. 
The easiest would be to save it to the desktop of the currently 
logged-in user. Then it shows up immediatelly on the desktop.


Otherwise you can search for the already downloaded file(s) - in the 
worst case over the whole harddisk (e.g., search for "Apache_OpenOffice_*").
