Re: Experience using WSL2 on Windows

2023-06-22 Thread Peter Kovacs

this is just a shot in the blue.

maybe we could apply for some support through Azure.

https://opensource.microsoft.com/azure-credits/#credits-overview

that could provide us a win remote test instance that can be used when
needed.

All the best

WSL2 is capable to run graphical Linux applications.

At least simple ones, like gedit or gtkhash run on my Windows 10. I
would be curious if AOO would even start...

But for real testing I recommend virtual machines with standard Linux

Yes, LO has these Filters integrated. And I think we should do that,

That is what I also thought of, since fodt is plain text it can easier
be compared in a version control system.

I did that with this file [1] and have no problems with editing/saving.

The fodt size is about twice as big as odt. However I see no tracked
changes, so maybe you have another version?

Can you try to install the filters on your Linux system? Which desktop
environment is Mint using?

WSL2 is capable to run graphical Linux applications.

At least simple ones, like gedit or gtkhash run on my Windows 10. I
would be curious if AOO would even start...
