Hello,
this small mail to report a bug.
I work under Ubuntu.
Is it just Apache OpenOffice or it just Evince? I don't know.
I don't know if it's only on Ubuntu .
I created a form that I exported to FDF. no problem.
When I open it with Evince to fill, the list fields are blank but it
works (in invisible). When moving the cursor to change the value, it
changes, but it is not obvious without seeing anything;)

Is this error while the download is still running?

We've some materials, but a new poster would be nice to have.

The germanophone community has designed a flyer, we'll bring some
of the prints to FOSDEM, but the content of the flyer is in german
language.

Maybe we can agree on some budget for producing a minimal set of
stuff that especially you can use on all the different events
where you present AOO.

That would be great.

I saw that you have a requested a booth for LinuxTag in Chemnitz
as well.

It isn't confirmed yet, but we will visit CLT anyway.

I can think of some stickers (70x50mm, 500, 54¬), a banner
(200x100, flag material, with eyelets, heavy-duty, washable,
75¬.

The sticker postcards are a nice giveaway, we'll bring some to
FOSDEM.

Mainly using the Orb + Apache OpenOffice + a small Apache logo

The problem is that we don't have too much time and I especially
have probably no time. But I used flyerpilot.de to order stuff
like that, maybe not the cheapest ones but good. I had never
problems with them and the quality is perfect.

I would at least support that with using some money from the
budget we still have (if possible). Or maybe we can find another
sponsor ;-) (hint, hint)

In a smart way we can do a lot of nice things with a low budget
(poor but sexy ;-) ).

let us continue on the marketing list where I have initially replied ;-)

ok what exactly do you have? Can you provide an image of the design?

Good! A list of volunteers for the FOSDEM stand is already being
prepared at
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OOOUSERS/FOSDEM+2013+Organization

and additional people can edit that page and add their names (note:
you will need an account for that wiki; use the Sign up function,
top right).

Regards,
  Andrea.

Equivalence in iBook Author

2012-12-14 Thread Sylvain DENIS

Hello,

I make stands and often I made small requests. The last appeared after
the release of a software in Apple. In education, many teachers use
the software iBooks Author. He realizes ePub with additional features
(such as interactions). Is it possible to make the same kind with AOO?
There is the plugin Writer2epub but it is far from complete.

This is a strong demand in Belgium and France.
Thank you for your response

Look at Calibre at
http://calibre-ebook.com/

It runs on many common platforms. In addition to being a complete eBook
library manager, it also reads .odt files and converts them to various eBook
formats.

Hi Louis,

I just wanted to say that the situation in which were Keith and Prabha was
not sustainable in the long term, they merit to be recognized for their
efforts and not to be frustrated. So, perhaps a group here is a better way
to support the efforts in the documentation area. There is no attack
against odf authors. I just wanted to say that if you are favorable to the
creation of a doclist here, it's a good thing for us.
The reason to support an online doc under ALv2.0 is the necessity to have
an official documentation easy to update and allowing derivated works
(printed documentation, ebooks, ). So, such a documentation appears to
me as a priority and has to be absolutely supported, because we have
already an existing work and a competent team working on it.
But actually the great challenge seems to me how to help this team in a
productive manner, avoiding that the help becomes a lost of time for them.

It has been requested. It will only be confirmed mid-December
(originally, the deadline was this week).

on page http://s.apache.org/fosdem-2013-proposals there is no category
stand, for volunteers and languages and journey.

I created
https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OOOUSERS/FOSDEM+2013+Organization

so that everybody can write details there.

FOSDEM 2013 will be held in Brussels, Belgium, 2-3 Feb 2013 and it is a
huge, free, developer-oriented, technical conference. OpenOffice has three
opportunities to be featured there.

[...]

  2) The Apache OpenOffice booth/stand. See https://fosdem.org/2013/call_**
for_stands.html https://fosdem.org/2013/call_for_stands.html Again, I
can take care of submitting the request, but we will need to be sure that
we have enough people available to attend to it. Mechtilde and Michael will
very likely be there, right? Organizers want to be sure that we will have
at least two people on Sat 2 Feb and Sun 3 Feb, full days. Please state
your availability: if we have enough people, it would be nice to request a
large stand instead of a normal one. Timeline: proposals due by 28 Nov.

I will be in FOSDEM the 2 days and available for the stand if you need
people. I speak french, but also a little english and german.

perfect I am looking forward to meet you there
