thanks for the report.

At the moment I cannot reproduce a problem when downloading.

Maybe it's just a temporary problem at Sourceforge or a connected mirror
server. Please try again later today or tomorrow.

As an alternative you can use this link. It works for me:

http://netix.dl.sourceforge.net/project/openofficeorg.mirror/4.1.2/binaries/en-US/Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.2_Win_x86_install_en-US.exe

mirror redirect in a loop.

After some maintenance work at Sourceforge, the download is working again.

Extensions and templates need some more time.

You get a HTTP400 error message.
Might want to look into that :)

Many thanks.

All download links have been restored yesterday. Extensions and Templates

Updates are available via twitter @sfnet_ops and at our blog.

Re: Broken Download Link

2015-07-17 Thread Marcus
As you can see on the Sourceforge website they currently have a problem
with storage:

quote
SF.net Operations @sfnet_ops

#SourceForge site is read-only, developer services disabled due to
storage infra fault. Service restoral work in-progress, ETA to follow

/quote

As alternative you can try to get the favorite install file from here:

http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/project/openofficeorg.mirror/4.1.1/binaries/

Just choose the needed language and then the needed OS. Yes, long lists
and therefore not really user-fiendly. But it's just a fallback. ;-)

Hi,
I've been having some issues downloading OpenOffice 4.1.1 on my computer
through Google Chrome. I'm running Windows 7 Professional SP 1 (64-bit) on

goes into an endless loop back and forth between two pages, never letting
me anywhere near the download. I've never had any issues with OpenOffice
or SourceForge before, so I'm baffled twice over right now. Any answers?
Thanks,

Please make sure this is being downloaded from www.openoffice.org and with
many large files is a good idea to have a download manager with a resumable
option. Getleft is a good option.

OpenOffice no longer provides a P2P network. To help with your problem,
you might look into getting a download manager.

Here is a reference to some of them.

Re: Broken download link

2013-07-17 Thread Dave Fisher
Hi,

Do you mean the download link in English at the top? This will work.

Or, is there one in Hebrew in the middle to a version 3.2? If so, then we need
some help from the Hebrew speaking community as the content on this page is
still legacy from 3 to 4 years ago and this project does not maintain those
mirrors.

td align=right width=100% class=txt
a class=link
href=http://mirror.isoc.org.il/pub/openoffice/3.0.0/win32/OOo_3.0.0_he_install_win32_20090327.exe;
קובץ התקנה של אופן אופיס
/a/td

Note 3.0.0 is a very old version probably from the time that OpenOffice.org was
part of Sun Microsystems.

Here at the Apache Software Foundation we are all volunteers. We about to
release 4.0.

It would be good to get cooperation from the folks who are running
www.openoffice.org.il - this group is not part of the project and we would like
to bring them in.

Regards,
Dave

Ron --

I think the link you are referring to is:

http://mirror.isoc.org.il/pub/openoffice/3.0.0/win32/OOo_3.0.0_he_install_win32_20090327.exe

This is a rather old version of OpenOffice, and obviously this link
shouldbe changed. It seems from this site, the most recent Hebrew
translations can be obtained from the following link:

http://mirror.isoc.org.il/pub/openoffice.org/localized/he/3.3.0/

Version 3.3 seems to be the last Hebrew version of OpenOffice. However, we
don't particularly recommend installing it due to security concerns.

We would love to have more community involvement to continue our Hebrew
version. We could use help with the web site and translations for the
product, Apache OpenOffice, itself.

Please see our Native Language page:

http://openoffice.apache.org/native-lang.html

if you would be interested in product UI translation efforts, or

Get Involved:

http://openoffice.apache.org/get-involved.html

for getting involved with the project generally.

Finally, please see:

http://www.openoffice.org/download/other.html

for Apache OpenOffice current download offerings.

Thank you for your interest in Apache OpenOffice.
