Dev3 would be a "snapshot" of what is in our code. We could release it
at any time. Maybe we want to do a bit of cleanup before and update the
 translations.

 Definitely!

But I think the remaining release blockers are all valid for this
release. So we should now concentrate on them.

That is one of the goals of AOO 4.2.0: Bringing back translations and
the ability to introduce changes in the UI/Help.

I started on this project years ago working on translation, just to see,
that it didn't find its way into a release. I know that this can be
frustrating...

Updated translations should be part of every 4.2.x release in the future.

Dev3 would be a "snapshot" of what is in our code. We could release it
at any time. Maybe we want to do a bit of cleanup before and update the
translations.

Definitely!

But I think the remaining release blockers are all valid for this
release. So we should now concentrate on them.

We need 4.2.0 as a basis for refreshed code and translations.

Hi,

I welcome any step that brings us closer to v4.2. There has been done
quite a bit in the translations that sits in Pootle for years without
reaching the users. We should be updating the translations more often.

Given the changes in Bugzilla I believe that it is time for a dev 3 build.
We really also need to either start working on the Release Blockers or
seriously look at pushing some of them off to a later release or we will
never get a 4.2 Release.
