Looking at an older log from the linux-buildbot log, e.g. [1] from one
month ago the svn-step there set the got_revision property to the
latest revision of the full ASF-repository too.

AOO Help/Info shows: AOO420m1(Build:9800) - Rev. 1635806 for today's
build,
so i think the builds did not change the last two weeks?

The major and minor versions and the build number of the product are set
manually and didn't change in the last two weeks. The latest AOO trunk
revision remained at 1635806 in this timeframe.

Hi,

Apparently the Windows build gets named after the revision of the latest
commit in AOO's trunk
whereas other builds get named after the latest commit in the big ASF
repository.

this behaviour is new, i first noticed it about two weeks ago.

AOO Help/Info shows: AOO420m1(Build:9800) - Rev. 1635806 for today's build,
so i think the builds did not change the last two weeks?

Regards

Oliver

The windows buildbots are setup slightly differently than the linux
ones. We need to investigate why the different options are causing this
mismatch. (???)

Many Apache projects (including AOO) share the huge repository at
svn.apache.org. So if there is a commit in another project then the
revision number of the whole repository is increased. This new revision
number can then be used as an indicator how current a checkout is.

The revision number of the latest commit to a particular project is
another interesting indicator. Unless this particular project got the
latest commit then this revision number is different from the one of the
full ASF repository.

Apparently the Windows build gets named after the revision of the latest
commit in AOO's trunk whereas other builds get named after the latest
commit in the big ASF repository. Both numbers have their merit.

As of today revision 1635806 is the revision of the latest commit to
AOO's trunk. Github has a nice view of trunk commits at [1].

Please see my other mail on why this number is different but the actual
source that was build was the same.
