[dev] QuickLauncher: how to configure
Hi, we intercepted the open/save commands because of restricted access to the file system (documents are stored in a database). Is there a way to configure the context menu of the QuickStarter and if not: how do I deactivate it in the OptionsDialog.xcu without hiding the whole Memory page? The Single Option node oor:name=Memory oor:op=replace oor:finalized=true node oor:name=Options node oor:name=Quicklauncher or:op=replaceoor:finalized=true prop oor:name=Hide valuetrue/value /prop /node /node /node doesn't work. Or can it be started without appearing in the Systray? (Windows XP, OpenOffice 2.2) Regards Peter - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: [dev] question about writer2latex
Hi, Writer2latex is also responsible to the xhtml export from OOo writer. Writer2latex has fixed many bugs, e.g, current xhtml export doesn't generate footnotes and endnotes, and Writer2later 0.5 when doing xhtml export handles footnotes and endnotes correclty. I have installed Writer2latex 0.5 as an export plugin in OOo 2.3 and it satisfies all my needs, but I am certain there should be give na high priority in updating the default version. Best, Zvi. I'm interested in the Export feature of the OOo Writer. Specifically the export to LaTeX2e filter. From what I gather the current OOo export to LaTeX feature is handled by writer2latex. I've looked through the archives and noticed the version shipping with OOo 2.3 is writer2latex version 0.4. There is a much more current version 0.5 and there have been several versions between the two. There are a lot of bug fixes in version 0.5. So I'm interested in knowing if there is any desire to get our export filter brought up to a more current version. If so, I might be interested in working on it. [dev] 13 days delay in mail delivery
Hi guys, I'm new. Forgive me if this is a questions others have already asked. I've subscribed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] I understand I shall post to dev@openoffice.org, right? I've posted my request uno-skeletonmaker internal UNO problem, can't create local type description provider 13 days ago. It is in the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailinglist of today. [dev] Invalid export type
Hi all, Ok, this is a stupid request, but I was looking at the available export types in Windows OO2.3 and I noticed the type - which I proceeded to try to export my document as. It closed the dialog, and after a moment notified me that I had exported it with an invalid parameter. So what exactly is the purpose of type --? And couldn't we just take it out, to make it easier for users? Thanks, Nathan

You can achieve the same result (faster start of the first Office instance called by the user) by inserting soffice -nologo -nodefault instead of soffice -quickstart into your autostart folder. Perhaps that helps? The drawback of not having a visible quicklauncher running is that OOo will be removed from memory if all documents are closed. But if you don't wait hours for the next document it will start fast again. Re: [dev] Security: how to avoid to pop up the Basic IDE?
Peter Eberlein wrote: Hi, we want to restrict the use of the Basic IDE, but because of a missing error handling in OpenOffice's macros, it is simple to produce an error and to access the IDE (e.g. bind the macro Depot.Depot.AddShortCuttoControl() to a field, a frame, a graphic). The only way I see is to manipulate the script.xlc (not safe, the user can overwrite this) or to delete the macros from the shared folder. Any other ideas how to avoid this? IMO the correct approach would be over the security settings, but these are only for document macros. Macro security is about macro execution, not about availability of the BasicIDE. I think the correct way to fix your problem would be to change the BasicErrorHandler and make its behavior dependant on a configuration setting.
