AFAIK a slave document doesn't know his master.

i would call it a bug, if a slave document would know,
cause a slave can have more masters ...

no, as already pointed by Oliver, you can't. We could imagine that if the 
whole thing is under your application control, you could store this kind of 
information in the slave's document properties; but besides this, there is no 
way to know it.
