Re: [OSM-dev] GitHub repositories

2015-03-16 Thread Jakob Jarosch
Hi,
thanks for your reply. I tried to contact Igor (podolsir) but he did not
respond to my mail.
Looking and the last commit date I think he is not really up to do some
changes in the next time.
So in my opinion it shouldn't be a problem to give me access to the
repository (as one of the original authors of the tool).
You can also see my contributions (over a third of the commits) here:

Jakob

Well I'm not sure who added it to the openstreetmap organisation. I'm an
admin for the organisation but I've never even heard of it. i suspect it
has been there for a long time.

In a literal sense I could given you access, but I would want the current
owners (whoever they might be) to approve that before I did so, so you
should probabyl start by trying to contact them.

It looks like https://github.com/podolsir is the only person with access
to that repo (other than the org admins) so that is probably the best
person to contact in the first instance.

[OSM-dev] GitHub repositories

2015-03-05 Thread Jakob Jarosch
Hi there,
I'm one of the original developers of the OSMembrane GUI tool for osmosis.
It hadn't a real maintenance but looks like the source code is now on
GitHub. I would like to give OSMembrane another try and update the GitHub
repository with the latest build and a README. Is there anyone who can give
me access to that repository so I can add a release?

Re: [osmosis-dev] OSMembrane - GUI front-end for Osmosis

2011-02-22 Thread Jakob Jarosch
Hey Peter,
yes there was a little bug in the XML, in the next build that should
be fixed, i hope you can wait until it is released.
If you can't, just place the XML from [1] to /resources/xml/* next to your jar.

We're primarily interested in feedback for OSMembrane: Do you like it?
Do you need it? Will you use it in the future? What's good and what's
bad? So please don't hesitate to post your thoughts, a lousy answer is
 better than none. :)

I like it much. It still needs some love to the arrow-drawing and such but
it makes my life much, much easier.

I found a bug but I won't register on yet another page to file it. Please,
 make bug filing open.

It seems that the write-osmbin task doesn't take any input (is has no
connector). I looked for the named XML-File that, according to your mail,
should contain the tasks but i was unable to locate it in
 OSMembrane_build845.zip.

Re: [osmosis-dev] OSMembrane - GUI front-end for Osmosis

2011-02-16 Thread Jakob Jarosch
Since now there is a new build available it should fix the problems
with Windows XP.
Also now is an update checker included, which will inform you if a new
version is available.
You should be able to disable the update check in the next build, but
currently that isn't possible.

I try to test it under Windows XP, but the configuration file

I can assure it works on windows 7, and I was thinking this should be also
working with XP when you're not editing them by hand. Well, I've just
created an issue in the redmine for that.

Does this prohibit you from using the program altogether or is it just a
 problem with changing the settings?
