   I would recommend putting the module in `OptimizeForBandwidth` mode to avoid 
the need for http(s) fetching while figuring this out. You may also want to 
check 
https://www.modpagespeed.com/doc/https_support#configuring_ssl_certificates as 
a potential culprit.

   Maybe the dns resolution is being cached for the domain on the server. The 
module would then attempt to fetch from the old server.
