[jira] [Created] (PLC4X-202) OPC-UA Driver cannot write Unsigned Types
Alessandro Rossignoli created PLC4X-202: --- Summary: OPC-UA Driver cannot write Unsigned Types Key: PLC4X-202 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PLC4X-202 Project: Apache PLC4X Issue Type: Bug Components: Driver-OPC-UA Affects Versions: 0.7.0 Reporter: Alessandro Rossignoli Currently, unsigned types are not supported in writing direction from the driver although they are fully supported by Eclipse Milo and in reading. Actually I have applied a modification and tested it to be able to support these types. It is kind of the same patch applied for BigIntegers but done introducing UShort and UInteger from Eclipse Milo. The downside is that every driver will use the Eclipse Milo types, being the JVM missing unsigned types. I don't know if you have a better solution or if using Milo types in all the drivers is acceptable for you. I am open for suggestions :) (PS. when I will complete all the testing a will create 3 separate PR for issue #200, #201 and this one) -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.3.4#803005)
Re: Driver S7. Step to 0.6.1
Hello Julian, Thanks for support, I would not like to touch something and damage it :-) , but I await your guidance in this regard. Re: Driver S7. Step to 0.6.1
Hi Cesar, let me have a look tomorrow. Generally speaking every comitter should be able to do a release rather easy and if there are valuable improvements we are free to do one, so you have my +1 there. I can also offer you to RM the 0.6.1 release if you like? Julian Am 03.06.20, 18:59 schrieb "Cesar Garcia" : How are they? Can anyone on the team verify if this migration is feasible? For me it would be very useful to have this code consolidated in PLC4X since I have done a number of stability tests and new features. Driver S7. Step to 0.6.1
How are they? Some time ago, I put in Jira the points to be implemented for the S7 driver version, in order to bring it to version 0.6.1. I am not an expert in Git, but according to your experience what would be the necessary steps to generate version 0.6.1? Is it feasible with the modifications? Can anyone on the team verify if this migration is feasible? For me it would be very useful to have this code consolidated in PLC4X since I have done a number of stability tests and new features.
