[DISCUSS] Start releasing build tools?

2020-09-07 Thread Christofer Dutz
Hi all,

I know I started this thread multiple times, but this time I really think we
should do it. I know that perhaps after we release we will be needing some
changes, but I guess we can’t change that.
So I would like to stage a RC soon, so we can start a new release on 0.8.0 very
soon. There are a lot of bugfixes in there which I would like to see people
using and not having to use the 0.7.0.

Hello Christofer,

I want to inform you that the latest Apache NiFi integration package still
has some problems I think. I've added the details here
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PLC4X-245

Ok ...

so I updated the board report as it's only 2 days till the deadline and
submitted it as no one didn't have any general objections.
I addressed the one "issue" we had ;-)

Re: Bumped the NiFi version and added documentation on the NiFi integration

2020-09-07 Thread Christofer Dutz
Hi Türker,

are you really sure you are using a version of the NAR archive built after the
21.08.2020? Cause that was when I last changed that adapter.
From the error message I can see it getting a NPE in line 50 of
Plc4xSourceProcessor, which is an empty line for me.
So I would assume you are not using the latest version.

+1 I agree, waiting with all the fix it's impossible.

We could anyway open a 0.9.0 after the freezing of the 0.8.0

Stefano
