PredictionIO release planning

2018-02-05 Thread Chan Lee
Hi all,

In keeping with one of 2018 goals to maintain a regular release cadence, I
would like to propose a 0.12.1 patch release in mid-February. Is there
anyone who would like to volunteer to manage the new release?

Also, please take a look at the issues below to see if anything is missing.

Currently, the resolved issues are:
PIO-131 , PIO-132
 Fix Apache licensing issues
for doc site
PIO-125 Spark 2.2 support
PIO-129 CLI document does
not expand side menu
PIO-101 Document usage of
Plug-in of event server and engine server
PIO-133 Ensure website
meets Apache Project Website Branding Policy
PIO-135 Remove all
incubating annotation from website

Other issues that can be included (pending review or minor work):
PIO-127 , PIO-139
 Update documentation for
release process
PIO-140 Describe the binary
distribution in the installation guide
PIO-146 Change TM to (R) on
text marks
PIO-134 Document how to
upgrade from 0.11, including building 0.12 for defaults used by 0.11
PIO-89 Add page to
documentation that lists out deprecations
PIO-76 Improve installation
script / process for first time users
PIO-75 Improve committer
documentation

Thanks,
Chan
