I had a problem in an Apache Camel AMQP example that would not work. It turned 
out that it was a classpath issues with a missing JAR.

However the real error I got was hidden as the qpid-jms-client catches a 
Throwable and ignores the exception.

See the attached screenshot, and notice the exception about 
NoClassDefFoundException
