Have you tried supp...@secnap.com? That's the contact address for the IP
that sa-update.secnap.net is at. They might be able to explain the
unreachability, or provide current contact information for the owner of
that host if it's not actually provided by secnap themselves.

We've also worked with them before:

LAST CALL: Anyone have contact info for Wazir Shpoon and/or John Meyer?

2020-09-16 Thread Bill Cole
The sa-update mirror monitor has been showing the secnap.net mirror
down, for a few days and MIRRORED.BY has no contact info except the
names and the fact that Wazir's email bounced in 2017.

I will comment out that mirror ~Monday if no contact is made and the
mirror remains down.

We're aware of this. It has been down for a few days, and we don't have working
contact information for anyone able to revive it. Efforts continue

The sa-update script should recover from this by trying another mirror. Is that
not working for you?

No, the rules I'm focused on are all in my 20_misc_testing.cf file in a
block commented "bitcoin work-at-home spams 04/2020"

Rules before and after that block are appearing in ruleqa results.

I just checked the latest bad sandbox repost and those ones aren't there
either.

All I can think of is something obvious, like it being in a rule file that
somehow isn't getting included in the mass check.

Nope, sorry. Rules from the middle of an otherwise-OK file are being
totally ignored.

Maybe I'll pull them out to a separate file and see if that changes
things...

FWIW, I picked a handful of rules from the bad sandbox report and tried
looking them up on ruleqa, and didn't get a hit on one of them. Maybe I don't
know how to drive the ruleqa page, but I thought I once did.

Scored rules in that report are probably T_'d out. Did you search on a
scored rule name? Try adding the T_ prefix, or do a regex search with a
leading slash (e.g. /BONUS)
