We have the required signatures, I've submitted the artifacts

Re: 1.9.6 up for signing/testing

2017-07-05 Thread Branko Čibej
Summary:

+1 to release (Unix)

Platform

macOS Sierra 10.12.5

Standard dependencies:
  Apple LLVM version 8.1.0 (clang-802.0.42)
  ruby 2.0.0p648 (2015-12-16 revision 53162)
  SQLite 3.16.0

Dependencies from Homebrew:
  APR 1.6.2
  APR-Util 1.6.0
  httpd 2.4.26
  SQLite 3.19.3
  Serf 1.3.9
  OpenSSL 1.0.2l
  zlib 1.2.11
  BDB 6.2.23
  Python 2.7.13
  Perl 5.26.0

Other dependencies:
  Swig 2.0.12
  Java 1.8.0_45-b14
  JUnit 4.11

Verified:

  Tarball contents and signatures

  With SQLite 3.19.3:
- check ((fsfs, bdb) × (local, svnserve, dav))
- check-all-javahl
- check-swig-py
- check-swig-rb
- check-swig-pl

  With SQLite 3.16.0:
- check ((fsfs) × (local))

New issues:

  - Lots of warnings during the link stage:

  libtool: warning: '/usr/local/opt/apr-util/libexec/lib/libaprutil-1.la'
seems to be moved
  libtool: warning: '/usr/local/opt/apr/libexec/lib/libapr-1.la' seems to
be moved

This is a side effect of how Homebrew installs packages.

  - One test fails with the stock SQLite 3.16.0:

svn_tests: E26: Expected error SVN_ERR_SQLITE_BUSY but got
SVN_ERR_SQLITE_ERROR
svn_tests: E200030: sqlite[S10]: disk I/O error
svn_tests: E200042: Additional errors:
svn_tests: E200030: sqlite[S10]: disk I/O error
svn_tests: E200044: SQLite transaction rollback failed
svn_tests: E200030: sqlite[S1]: cannot rollback - no transaction is active
svn_tests: E200030: sqlite[S1]: cannot rollback - no transaction is active
FAIL: fs-test 65: test commit with locked rep-cache

Known issues:

  - 'make check-swig-rb' requires 'make install install-swig-rb'.
Probably a side effect of macOS "security" features related to the
use of the DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable.

GPG signatures committed to the dist/dev/subversion repository.

I am, but I'll have to rebuild with a custom httpd in order to test

To be clear, I assume these are not regressions from 1.9.5, since the
only bindings change since then is a bugfix to the javahl svn_ra_open4()
redirection support.

I'm aiming to release this within a week. (CHANGES points to this
Wednesday, which may be a bit optimistic on my part.)

Special notes for this release:

1. *.sha512 files are being created. Please verify them as you used to
verify the *.sha1 filfes.

2. CHANGES links to a not-yet-written section of the release notes.
That section is expected to be written in the next few days.

By the way, I generated a new subkey for the occasion, so you may have
to refresh my key in order to verify the signatures:

gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --refresh-keys
