Plan 9 is still being developed and is in use by business and universities, unlike react os and haiku. Just because it was started in the 80s doesn't automatically make it bad.

Has the suckless community considered starting an operating system from scratch? Linux/BSD etc suck by default as they are evolutions of software from the 1970s and have all the legacy baggage that comes with that. Even Plan 9 dates back to the 1980s.
