Re: superset login through coockie

2020-05-21 Thread Matthew Mutee
Hi Srujish,

We had a similar requirement at Safaricom and we documented our solution in
the link below.

The short version of it is that we implemented a custom token provider that
is also used to authenticate other services hence serving as an SSO
provider. On the backend it performs the LDAP authentication.

Re: Email Scheduling and FTP

2019-11-12 Thread Matthew Mutee
Scheduling could be performed using Celery tasks. But if you need scheduled
workflow executions, then Airflow is probably your best bet. Not so sure
about FTP, yet.

PS: For visibility's sake, probably create an issue on GitHub tagged
"question" so that others in a similar position can see.

Sounds like this needs a Flask blueprint to me. What do you think Max?

Superset production setup

2019-05-20 Thread Matthew Mutee
Hi dev,

We have been testing superset for the last couple of months and now want to
set it up in production. Could you please share what sort of resourcing
considerations you have made for your superset installation.

I am interested in:

   1. Number of servers used for load balancing.
   2. Placement of applications; redis, superset, celelery, nginx etc.
   3. Actual resources in the servers; memory, cores etc
   4. The average users accessing superset per day.

Thanks :-)

Regards,
Matthew M.
