Randy Abernethy commented on THRIFT-2730:

The coding standard would apply to code within the library and the code emitted 
by the IDL Compiler generator. The idea is to keep it simple, leverage existing 
best practices already in place in the languages community but to offer enough 
guidance to keep the Apache Thrift code cohesive. A coding standard/style guide 
has been proposed for each Apache Thrift language.
