Re: [Dev] Remove all products other than AM from products POM

2012-07-31 Thread Senaka Fernando
Hi Pradeep,

Yes, as long as the products do not get deployed into the Maven Repos, we
should go for an approach like what you've suggested if possible. But, if
that's not straightforward and since we don't have time, please go for the
suggested approach if needed.

Thanks,
Senaka.

As informed Senaka offline, AppServer 500 is scheduled to release on this

is also scheduled to release on this Friday, please don't exclude AppServer

Actually product should stand its own. There should not be a parent pom for
products, rather aggregate pom for building purposes (ease of building).

Correct solution would be to get rid of top level product parent pom.

[Dev] Remove all products other than AM from products POM

2012-07-31 Thread Senaka Fernando
Hi Pradeep,

Since we have to deploy the AM packs and features to the M2 and P2 repos,
we need to remove other products from the products POM in the branch to
avoid them getting deployed. Products that release later can use the 4.0.1
version of the products POM and so forth. So, as per discussion with
Samisa, we need to make sure to get this done before the final packs are
built. The respective directories can remain intact in the 4.0.0 SVN tag,
which will have no harm.

Thanks,
Senaka.

Re: [Dev] Carbon-Kernel RC1

2012-07-31 Thread Pradeep Fernando
Hi charitha,

I did some developer testing as well. The p2-repo was hosted jusince you
were interested in category feature thing. This is a partial p2-repo. In
the sense, it doesnot contain some of the product releated features.

at the moment we cant even build each and every product in the branch
hence, we cant build the complete p2-repo. I encountered the same error. It
is a missing constraint in the repo, rather than a bug.

i could successfully install some of the individual features. like
ApplicationMgt.

Not sure how we can address this issue. Creating a P2-repo for API manager
specific features ??

Hi,

At startup,
[2012-08-01 08:08:19,958] INFO
{org.wso2.carbon.ui.internal.CarbonUIServiceComponent} - Mgt Console URL
 : https://172.16.65.1:0/carbon/
but if I try to access https://172.16.65.1:9443/carbon, it works fine.

Also all the webapps and axis service dashboards points to port 0.
for eg: https://172.16.65.1:0/jaxrs_basic/services

Looks like port retrieval has broken.

This is fixed now. It is due to an invalid artifact which is no longer in

Re: [Dev] Compilation Error in Platform-Integration

2012-07-31 Thread Andun Gunawardena
Hi,

This was due to recent commit. They have changed the name of
 org.wso2.carbon.automation.api.clients.mediation.MassageStoreAdminClient
to org.wso2.carbon.automation.api.clients.mediation.MessageStoreAdminClient
in the implementation. But not fixed the import in
the org.wso2.carbon.automation.core.ArtifactDeployerUtil. I have fixed it
locally and it is working fine.

Thank

2012-07-31 Thread Dushan Abeyruwan
Hi
"I hope you are not happy with being redirected to the login UI & all the
information being lost :)"
I think its a temporary workaround for the time being, one option
that we can ask customers to increase the session timeout value (to avoid
such things) ,but as we discuss in UI level will hv to do changers and
will put this in road map items for the future releases

cheers

There is no doubt that the persistence impl is now performed really quick
because of the way it's designed. In fact, this is something we can market
for 3.2.x users who are concerned about the server start up time.

So, yes, this isn't there in C4.

I mean the error related to the namespace while evaluating XACML requests.
Is it fixed now?

Hi all,

Reason for this issue is during configuration update, there will be lots
of expensive registry operations will perform by deployment interceptor and
that will cause stuck thread detection to kick in.

However now all service metadata persistence will happen on file system and
no more expensive registry operations. I have tested ESB tenants with lots
of proxy services and now deployment complete in split seconds.

I guess that we will not hit this issue anymore with new deployment
interceptor. WDYT?

 Hi All,

I think I have found the problem here, the exception which is given
 below is thrown by org.wso2.carbon.core.services.authentication.
 AuthenticationUtil class's public static void
 validateRemoteAddress(String address) method.

Authentication Failed : Invalid remote address passed -
 https://10.200.3.118:
 ${carbon.management.port}${carbon.context}/services/

I have debugged the code and found that ESB is sending something like
 this "https://${carbon.local.ip}:${carbon.management.port}${carbo
n.context}/services/" as the argument for this method. So
our first thought was this argument should be corrected like this "
https://localhost:9444/service";. But even if I pass this as the
 argument the method gives exceptions.
So I checked with Asela and this argument should be a IP address. Not
something like this. So have to correct the mediator in ESB. So I will look
 in to that.

 Thanks

Re: [Dev] Kernel Integration Tests are not Running on Windows

2012-07-31 Thread Senaka Fernando
Hi Pradeep,

I copied you since you are RM, :). No, it is not due to running another
carbon server. It is just the build that is running.

I did some debugging and it is related to Emma. Did we make any changes to
Emma versions or how it is run or something during the last few weeks. This
was running fine (at least until early last week), and it has broken
recently.

Thanks,
Senaka.

Re: [Dev] ESB Proxy saving with NULL information due to the Session out Issue

2012-07-31 Thread Pradeep Fernando
Hi,

we are going to disable session persistance by default. If the user wants
they can enable it by going to
./repository/conf/tomcat/carbon/META-INF/context.xml

However we are going to make this as a roadmap item for C5.

dushan can you please verify the issue without session persistence.
