Hi, In Static load balancing, you provide already configured back end servers by ip, ports. In other case, you refer to Endpoint which are already deployed in ESB. You have more flexibility here. Re: [Dev] API Manager - Intermittently tenants became unusable and a NullPointerException occurs when tenant cleanup happens
Hi, For API Manager we do not require usage agent or throttling agent since we have our own handlers/components to handle usage metering and throttling. So IMO we can remove those from APIM P2. And usage agent component measure service/webapp/registry usage against tenants and in APIM we do not have such use case. Throttling agent also will work in same manner. However we might need other components listed above because those can affect our core functionality. Thanks, sanjeewa. Hi Amila, There isn't an admin service for the ntask feature, mainly because, it itself does not have an UI, where only the user's of this API will be creating an UI and a required admin services for it. So that's why at the moment, we didn't have a reason to have an admin service for it. So for the moment, you will have to write your own admin service by using the OSGi service available. Hi Aruna, That's gives just the parent collection. Then have to iterate through all children of it to fetch each resource. By debugging found out that get(path, 0, -1) would do. Touched, not typed. [Dev] [AF] Add entry to appfactory.xml to get Undeployer class name
Hi Dimuthu, While doing JGit plugin integration I came across a requirement to load the undeployer class name for a given apptype and stage. At the moment we have a method to get deployer class name. Utils.getDeployerClassName(stage, appType); What it does is get the appropriate value from the appfactory.xml file. I need the same implementation for undeployment like following, Utils.getUndeployerClassName(stage, appType); In order to do that I need to add and new xml tag entry to appfactory.xml file. As I got to know , modifying appfactory.xml will effect AF puppetising process. Anuruddha will explain the overhead. [Dev] [AF] Error while building application with a forked repository.
Hi all, In apfactory I created an application and it got build and deployed successfully. Then I forked the repository and tried to build it. Then I got an error. I have copied that error log to a text file and have attached herewith since it was a bit lengthy. Can anybody tell me why Im getting this error? To be frank Im not much clear about what happens (in the back end) when somebody clicks 'fork application' and tries to build it. I would be more thankfull if somebody can explain that to me as well. Re: [Dev] Algorithm for Drawing Interactive Topology Trees
Hi, I'm trying to create drag and drop application creator for stratos to improve UX. On it we have items like cartridge and groups. groups can contain one or more cartridge and even another groups. cartridges are leaf points. In above scenario i'm trying to visualize two things. 1. Application creation 2. Topology visualization Currently they use JSON to handle it. but in user perspective its really hard to understand topology details by looking at JSON. So i'm trying to generate horizontal tree diagram to visualize details on JSON. There are few concerns on generating this. 1. Less screen size(need to generate tree fit to limited screen size ) 2. Dynamically positioning nodes without overlapping connecting anchors After few research i found d3js include same algo to create tree, but it doesn't include easy drag and drop anchor options like jsplumb. Also I can't directly map binary tree visualization due to subtrees in topology. Hope you can understand the idea. [Dev] Database naming conventions
Hi all, I went through couple of products and noticed, the naming conventions used are inconsistent in some SQL scripts. What is the standard way of naming, 1. Tables - Currently, this is consistent, and the standard is appending a prefix that describes to which component the table belongs to, such as REG_*, UM_*. 2. Columns - This is inconstant as some scripts contain TABLE_NAME_COLUMN_NAME and some doesn't have the table name appended. I also noticed some have COMPONENT_NAME_COLUMN_NAME, instead of table name as a prefix. What is the recommend approach? Regards, Inosh -- Inosh Perera Software Engineer, WSO2 Inc. Re: [Dev] [DEV] Access remote osgi service using a java client
Got it Anjana. Ishara, Lets write a dropins bundle and use it to get information about the scheduled tasks we want. So that's why at the moment, we didn't have a reason to have an admin service for it. So for the moment, you will have to write your own admin service by using the OSGi service available.
