2015-03-13 Thread Pubudu Dodangoda
Hi,

I am Pubudu Dodangoda, an Engineering undergraduate from Computer Science
and Engineering department, University of Moratuwa.
At the moment I am an intern, here, at WSO2, assigned to BAM.

I went through the GSoC proposal list. I am interested in proposal [1]
https://docs.wso2.com/display/GSoC/Project+Proposals+for+2015#ProjectProposalsfor2015-Proposal18:ExtensibleVisualComposerSiddhiLanguage
 and looking forward to contribute.
I would like to have a discussion on further details regarding the $subject
and how I can contribute for the Project.

Prior Experience -

   1. My fast track training project was on a similar tech-scope, which was
   to develop a visualization JS library(IGVIZ) using D3JS and currently being
   improved by us(Dunith, Tharindu, Fawsan, and I) which will be used in CEP
   and BAM in the upcoming releases.
   2. Ongoing project for the Analytics- Dashboard which involves JS,
   Bootstrap, HTML, JSP, SOAP-backend(now), Rest(earlier),etc is now under
   development(final phases).

Please let me know when you could share your time for this.

[Dev] Don't commit to APIM old test modules

2015-03-13 Thread Krishantha Samaraweera
Hi APIM Team,

Automation team is migrating test suites from old test framework to new
one. I've already removed old test modules from integration module POM and
applied the pull request four days ago, updated mail thread can be found at
 [APIM] Please merge pull request

Note that only following modules are enabled now.

modulesmoduletests-common/modulemoduletests-integration/module
!--moduletests-ui-integration/module--
!--moduletests-platform/module-- /modules

Can you please refine from committing to old test modules. We kept those
old modules until test migration is over. Now I think its not a good idea
to keep those modules and will remove them soon.

Let me know if you have any concern with removing old test modules.

Following test modules will be removed shortly. And we will take care of
migrating tests in those modules to our new modules properly.

1. tests-new
2. tests-ui
3. tests.

Thanks,
Krishatnha.

Re: [Dev] [App Factory] User home data is read from the backend after if last access time is over 1 minute

2015-03-13 Thread Chanaka Jayasena
It's also possible to try with Local Storage. We don't use Local Storage
much because of the lack of browser support. But it's possible to use other
data storage methods specific to each browser when local storage is not
supported ( session storage, globalStorage etc.. ) . [1] is a popular
library that we can use to do just that. This lib is mostly use in web to
keep user preferences in the client side. AFAIK it's not been use in any of
our products yet. So it needs to be taken through the 3rd party approval
process.

 application_list is not the attribtue in the session which is used to
 draw the user home page.

 Are we using this application_list somewhere else?. It's not correct to
 have the application_list in the *session* cache.

 It is USER_HOME_CACHE attribute the one which is used.

 So I think it is safe to remove the recurring getAllAppsOfUser from the
 user home page.

 Check whether the  USER_HOME_CACHE have the application creation status;
 it shouldn't be cached since it's a dynamic parameter; in that case you'll
 have to getapplication info from the back-end.

 Yes. USER_HOME_CACHE does has the application status and it will updated
 the dynamically by poling for status changes of the applications, which are
 in the pending status.

 Hi Gayan,

 IMO we should cache user data in the session cache and the application
 data should go to the application level cache. This way we can get rid of
 unwanted back-end calls and do proper cache invalidation.

 So IMO the proper way to do this is to have a clear data separation in
 caching layers rather than increasing callbacktime.

 However 1 minute seems too soon.

1. Make it configurable
2. Increase it to somewhere like 10 - 15 minutes.

Re: [Dev] GSOC 2015

2015-03-13 Thread Imesh Gunaratne
Hi Randika,

It's nice to hear your interest on this. The idea of this project is to
implement a billing system for WSO2 Private PaaS which could integrate with
Google Wallet for invoice generation and payments. The steps to follow
would be as follows:

- Do a literature review on billing cloud services and identify billing
patterns.
- Do an analysis on open source billing systems and reuse an existing or
implement one from scratch
- Integrate above billing system with WSO2 PPaaS.
- Integrate above billing system with Google Wallet.

Once you are done with your analysis you could prepare a project proposal
on a Google document and share it.
Please use WSO2 Dev mailing list for making this discussion.

Thanks

Re: [Dev] getPayloadJSON returning an empty object

2015-03-13 Thread Roshan Wijesena
Hi Folks

I am also getting this issue in APIM 1.8.0 too. I created an new API and
navigate to the implementation page, then I have set my inline script like
below,

mc.setProperty('CONTENT_TYPE', 'application/json');

var jsonPayLoad = mc.getPayloadJSON();

mc.setPayloadJSON(jsonPayLoad);

After publishing the API, I send a curl POST request with sample json
payload to the API, but I could not see the results as i expected, Instead
it is given a empty bracket like this '{}'.

Please note I have enabled below properties in my axis2.xml

messageFormatter contentType=application/json
class=org.apache.synapse.commons.json.JsonStreamFormatter/

messageBuilder contentType=application/json
class=org.apache.synapse.commons.json.JsonStreamBuilder/

What could be the problem here?

Regards
Roshan.

 Just in case someone has the same issue, I managed to get mine working.

 I had to do a workaround method:

 1. Use property mediator before the script mediator to set a property:

 2. Within the script mediator, get the payload (as a string) by doing this:
   var pl_string = mc.getProperty(JSONPayload);

 3. Now have to convert the string into a JS object:
   var pl = JSON.parse(pl_string);

 4. Manipulate the payload as if you'd obtained it using getPayloadJSON().

 I know it's a hacked together method, but none of the other ways were
 working for me so I tried this one.

 Some information in case anyone wants to debug it:

 I'm using API Manager 1.7.

 I set the message builders and formatters to these:
 Builder class= org.apache.synapse.commons.json.JsonStreamBuilder
 Formatter class  = org.apache.synapse.commons.json.JsonStreamFormatter

 Hope this helps,

 Maz

 I am doing some very simple script mediation as a test to see if I can
 change the payload being returned by my server.

 My unmediated payload comes out as:

 {origin:202.37.75.130}

 Then I try doing a very simple check to see whether get and set work for
 payloads:

 script language=js
 var older = mc.getPayloadJSON();
 var newer=older;
 mc.setPayloadJSON(newer);
 /script

 My result from this is:

 {jsonObject:}

 I have done testing that shows that setPayloadJSON() works, which means
 that my getPayloadJSON must be returning an empty object.

 Looking at the log file shows this:

 ERROR {org.apache.synapse.mediators.bsf.ScriptMessageContext} -  JSON object
 is null. {org.apache.synapse.mediators.bsf.ScriptMessageContext}

 Is there anyone else having this error? Is this happening because the
 Payload is actually a Java object rather than a JSON object?

 Thanks,
 Maz

Re: [Dev] [App Factory] Getting java.lang.SecurityException: Illegal access attempt to cache when trying to access a cache a

2015-03-13 Thread Gayan Dhanushka
I found out that this was happening due to a new method introduced to check
whether users are added to newly created applications applications. A
distributed cache being initialized using the super user and then accessed
via the tenant and it caused this issue. Starting tenant flow before
initializing the cache for the first time solved this issue.

[Dev] [ESB] Error in clone and sending a message

2015-03-13 Thread Chathura Priyankara
Hi,

For my fast track training project I want to clone and send the cloned copy
of a synapse message context. I used cloneMessageContext method in
MessageHelper class to clone a message, but when sending the cloned message
to the endpoint esb stuck at some point before sending the message. Is this
because operational context are also cloned in MessageHelper ?
How can I fix this issue ?

Thanks!

Re: [Dev] [IS] Exception occured while starting IS server

2015-03-13 Thread Lasitha Wattaladeniya
Hi Lakshani,

You can build product-is without any other prerequisites. Just check out
the branch release-5.1.0 and build.

You'll find the build pack in the
path ~/path-to-your-git-repo/product-is/modules/distribution/target
, wso2is-5.1.0-SNAPSHOT.zip. Extract the zip file and run, it should run
without any prob.

I will remove old test modules within another few hours. Please shout if
you are middle of writing a test. Anyway you can move the tests into
*tests-integration/tests-backend* module which is already committed.

 Can you please refine from committing to old test modules. We kept those

Re: [Dev] [APIM] Subscription page shows applications with no subscription

2015-03-13 Thread Lalaji Sureshika
Hi,

I think we should fix this,as it's wrong showing the applications without
having subscriptions in 'My Subscriptions' page..Before loading the
applications list to UI,shall we add a filtering logic to show only
applications with subscriptions in My subscriptions page..?

Thanks;

On Fri, Mar 13, 2015 at 1:56 AM, Shani Ranasinghe sh...@wso2.com wrote:

 Hi,

 I guess the wording used above was wrong, After having a discussion with
 Dinesh, it was clear that the subscriptions loaded are for application that
 is selected. But however, we still have no way of filtering out the
 applications that do have subscriptions. This was done as per Dinesh, as
 a performance improvement, in order to avoid obtaining subscriptions for
 every application in oppose to obtaining subscriptions for the selected
 application.

 However, the subscriptions page is supposed to show applications with
 subscriptions. But is it a must? After all, we can create a token for an
 application even though there are no API's subscribed to it. A user can
 create an application generate the token and subscribe API's later on. If
 we decide to show only applications with subscriptions, as Dinesh mentioned
 off line, probably we would have to query it in the DB level to bring in
 the applications that have subscriptions.

 Hi,

 In the current APIStoreHostObject getAllSubscriptions method, it

 under development?

 Hi Nuwan,

 When we do the performance improvement for mysubscription page, we
 decided to load all the applications including the applications which
 doesn't have subscriptions.

 As I can remember, initial logic in hostobject was, load all the
 applications from the backend and filter applications which doesn't have
 subscription details. So we had to load all the subscription details to do
 this filtering. It is not efficient and then we decided to load all the
 applications to UI without doing the filtering.

Re: [Dev] [ESB] wso2esb-4.9.0-M8-SNAPSHOT

2015-03-13 Thread Chanaka Fernando
Hi Kathees,

we have released ESB 490 M7 pack with the synapse version
synapse-core_2.1.3.wso2v2 and this should be same in the develop branch of
the M8. I think you are having an older version of 490-M7 which has the
SNAPSHOT synapse version. So If you need to do any change in to
synapse-core, please take the code from tag 2.1.3.wso2v2 and do your
changes and apply the patch in to M8.

If you need to test on the latest develop branch of the synapse, then you
need to change the M8 pack to include the 2.1.3.wso2v3-SNAPSHOT in the pack
and do the testing (This needs you to change the synapse version in the
carbon-mediation and product-esb and build them from the beginning).

Thanks,
Chanaka

 transformation using ML also. They don't need to connect to the
 wrangler.
 Another thing i realized that is they don't need all the operations in
 wrangler. They need some specific subset of operations only. What I
 mean
 from the bottom block is the UI created using Jaggery interfacing

Hi Nuwan,

Pls disregard my previous response. It should be corrected as
DefaultVersionWithScopesTestCase fails on both packs

[Dev] Identify Comment Nodes in an XML document using Axiom 1.2.14 API

2015-03-13 Thread Jagath Sisirakumara Ariyarathne
Hi,

I have a requirement to $subject.

E.g. Below is a sample XML document.

sequence
   !-- Start Comment--
   in
log category=DEBUG/log
   /in
   out
  log category=DEBUG/log
   /out
   !-- End comment --
/sequence

Requirement is to retrieve below nodes only.

!-- Start Comment--
!-- End comment --

One implementation would be iterating through all XML Nodes and identify
nodes which has type COMMENT_NODE. We can use method
OMContainer.getChildren()
which returns all nodes in the document.

Is there any other method of doing this in Axiom, rather than going through
all nodes?

Thanks
