Re: [Dev] [App Factory] User home data is read from the backend after if last access time is over 1 minute
It's also possible to try with Local Storage. We don't use Local Storage much because of the lack of browser support. But it's possible to use other data storage methods specific to each browser when local storage is not supported ( session storage, globalStorage etc.. ) . [1] is a popular library that we can use to do just that. This lib is mostly use in web to keep user preferences in the client side. AFAIK it's not been use in any of our products yet. So it needs to be taken through the 3rd party approval process. It is used in the eventing page template. So updating the application_list in session IMO we shouldn't keep the application_list in the *session*. Otherwise this will cause the issue that Danushka explained earlier. Shall we move it to *application* cache and do proper invalidation on update/delete? The problem with the application level caching is, in real production environment there will be hundreds of applications and It is not recommended to keep heavyweight objects in the jaggery application cache as they might introduce issues under concurrent environments[1]. from the notification wall template is enough. Further more application_list is not the attribtue in the session which is used to draw the user home page. Are we using this application_list somewhere else?. It's not correct to have the application_list in the *session* cache. It is USER_HOME_CACHE attribute the one which is used. So I think it is safe to remove the recurring getAllAppsOfUser from the user home page. Check whether the USER_HOME_CACHE have the application creation status; it shouldn't be cached since it's a dynamic parameter; in that case you'll have to getapplication info from the back-end. Yes. USER_HOME_CACHE does has the application status and it will updated the dynamically by poling for status changes of the applications, which are in the pending status. Re: [Dev] GSOC 2015
Hi Randika, It's nice to hear your interest on this. The idea of this project is to implement a billing system for WSO2 Private PaaS which could integrate with Google Wallet for invoice generation and payments. The steps to follow would be as follows: - Do a literature review on billing cloud services and identify billing patterns. - Do an analysis on open source billing systems and reuse an existing or implement one from scratch - Integrate above billing system with WSO2 PPaaS. - Integrate above billing system with Google Wallet. Once you are done with your analysis you could prepare a project proposal on a Google document and share it. Please use WSO2 Dev mailing list for making this discussion. Re: [Dev] [IS] Exception occured while starting IS server
Hi Lakshani, You can build product-is without any other prerequisites. Just check out the branch release-5.1.0 and build. You'll find the build pack in the path ~/path-to-your-git-repo/product-is/modules/distribution/target , wso2is-5.1.0-SNAPSHOT.zip. Extract the zip file and run, it should run without any prob. Re: [Dev] [APIM] Subscription page shows applications with no subscription
Hi, I think we should fix this,as it's wrong showing the applications without having subscriptions in 'My Subscriptions' page..Before loading the applications list to UI,shall we add a filtering logic to show only applications with subscriptions in My subscriptions page..? Thanks; On Fri, Mar 13, 2015 at 1:56 AM, Shani Ranasinghe sh...@wso2.com wrote: Hi, I guess the wording used above was wrong, After having a discussion with Dinesh, it was clear that the subscriptions loaded are for application that is selected. This was done as per Dinesh, as a performance improvement, in order to avoid obtaining subscriptions for every application in oppose to obtaining subscriptions for the selected application. However, the subscriptions page is supposed to show applications with subscriptions. But is it a must? After all, we can create a token for an application even though there are no API's subscribed to it. A user can create an application generate the token and subscribe API's later on. If we decide to show only applications with subscriptions, as Dinesh mentioned off line, probably we would have to query it in the DB level to bring in the applications that have subscriptions. Re: [Dev] [ESB] wso2esb-4.9.0-M8-SNAPSHOT
Hi Kathees, we have released ESB 490 M7 pack with the synapse version synapse-core_2.1.3.wso2v2 and this should be same in the develop branch of the M8. I think you are having an older version of 490-M7 which has the SNAPSHOT synapse version. So If you need to do any change in to synapse-core, please take the code from tag 2.1.3.wso2v2 and do your changes and apply the patch in to M8. If you need to test on the latest develop branch of the synapse, then you need to change the M8 pack to include the 2.1.3.wso2v3-SNAPSHOT in the pack and do the testing (This needs you to change the synapse version in the carbon-mediation and product-esb and build them from the beginning). [Dev] Identify Comment Nodes in an XML document using Axiom 1.2.14 API

Below is a sample XML document. sequence !-- Start Comment-- in log category=DEBUG/log /in out log category=DEBUG/log /out !-- End comment -- /sequence Requirement is to retrieve below nodes only. !-- Start Comment-- !-- End comment -- One implementation would be iterating through all XML Nodes and identify nodes which has type COMMENT_NODE.
