No. Hazelcast anyway stop after bundle deactivate. If you want to do some
task before deactivate all bundles, then you can use
WaitBeforeShutdownObserver. It will block shutting down until task
completion. We had a requirement of complete all messaging task before
server gracefully shutting down. We used WaitBeforeShutdownObserver and
complete messaging tasks in andes dependency in blocking call. Please rerer
to [1] to get an idea about usage of WaitBeforeShutdownObserver.

Re: [Dev] WS-RM Inbound endpoint based on Apache CXF Orbit bundle

2015-05-08 Thread Sandamal Weerasinghe
Hi KasunG,

Updated the pull request after doing a version upgrade. The following
dependencies had to be embedded; neethi, woodstox-core-asl and
xmlschema-core.
I have removed the wss4j and slf4j bundles as they are not essential to the
functionality of the cxf ws-rm inbound endpoint and connector. As for the
changes in the spring.schemas and spring.handlers, without those changes
the following error gets thrown at when starting an inbound endpoint.

org.springframework.beans.factory.parsing.BeanDefinitionParsingException:
Configuration problem: Unable to locate Spring NamespaceHandler for XML
schema namespace [http://cxf.apache.org/core]

Please review and merge.

Re: [Dev] Why is the activate method of an OSGi bundle called more than once?

Hi Sinthuja and Mahesh,

That was the exact reason. Thank you very much. There actually is a

 Hi Bhathiya,

I came across similar kind of a issue and found out that it was due to
some missing constraints( some dependancy jars were missing, actually they
 were unavailable in osgi environment).
Therefore this particular osgi bundle's activation gets failed and it
 retries.

You can find the exact reason by catching throwable and printing stack
trace in your activate method of the service component. And fix that, then
the bundle will get activated for sure :)

let me understand the scenario here.

say there are 2 OSGI bundle in the environment spark v 1.3.0 and
 spark v 1.2.1 and we have a component org.wso2.analytics.spark.core
 which
 imports org.apache.spark version [1.2.1, 1.4.0).
then AFAIK in the OSGI environment, org.wso2.analytics.spark.core
gets wired to the latest version in the runtime.
@carbon team pls correct me if I'm wrong

but I do not think it has anything to do with the Export-Package

Yes exactly. My concern was, what if multiple versions of the
same package were in the same osgi environment.. I know its very
 highly
unlikely, but IF such a case happens, then I think spark (or any
 bundle)
will pick up only one of the versions.

well, AFAIK what export-package does is, it exposes the
org.apache.spark.* classes in the OSGI environment. since we are

 Hi Supun,

let me understand the scenario here.

say there are 2 OSGI bundle in the environment spark v 1.3.0 and
 spark v 1.2.1 and we have a component org.wso2.analytics.spark.core
 which
 imports org.apache.spark version [1.2.1, 1.4.0).
then AFAIK in the OSGI environment, org.wso2.analytics.spark.core
gets wired to the latest version in the runtime.
@carbon team pls correct me if I'm wrong

Yes exactly. My concern was, what if multiple versions of the
same package were in the same osgi environment.. I know its very
 highly
unlikely, but IF such a case happens, then I think spark (or any
 bundle)
will pick up only one of the versions.

let me understand the scenario here.

say there are 2 OSGI bundle in the environment spark v 1.3.0 and
 spark v 1.2.1 and we have a component org.wso2.analytics.spark.core
 which imports org.apache.spark version [1.2.1, 1.4.0).
then AFAIK in the OSGI environment, org.wso2.analytics.spark.core
gets wired to the latest version in the runtime.
@carbon team pls correct me if I'm wrong

but I do not think it has anything to do with the Export-Package
 tag in the orbit bundle.

Yes exactly. My concern was, what if multiple versions of the same
package were in the same osgi environment.. I know its very
highly unlikely, but IF such a case happens, then I think spark
(or any bundle) will pick up only one of the versions.

well, AFAIK what export-package does is, it exposes the
org.apache.spark.* classes in the OSGI environment. since we are
not doing any patching for the original classes, I dont think we
have to change the version to 1.3.0.wso2v1

@sameera, pls correct me if I'm wrong.

But I was able to build the java8support branch without any issue.

Thanks

As per discussion for this error ,If we instrument the jar file in the web

exact issue on this. Just for a workaround for UI tests Enterprise store I
have disabled the coverage in automation.xml coveragefalse/coverage.And
I could run the build without any issue. Can anyone find out the exact

Hi Saneth,
Error says that it is a casting error in JSONObject/JSONArray. When you
create APIs with the jaggery APIs(using curl) APIM gets the API object and
create the swagger manually. I will look into this issue and update the
JIRA.

Thanks,

Re: [Dev] [IMPORTANT] Greasemonkey Tests for MB 3.0.0 - Fail Tolerance

2015-05-08 Thread Asitha Nanayakkara
Hi

+1. Since in AMQP there are no publisher acknowledgements we cannot
guarantee zero message loss. However with publisher side transaction
implementation we would be able to do this. Currently running tests with
this.

State of things as at now is as follows,

*Node kill*

   - Message loss without publisher acknowledgements. Was able to overcome
   this with publisher transactions

*Graceful shutdown*

   - Indika is looking into this. Was able to fix message loss issues with
this (without publisher transactions). Still there are some exceptions
thrown that need to be looked at and message redelivery.

Network out (OS shutdown)

   - Hemika did some tests with network out. We had issues with Hazelcast
when network is back on. (There were two coordinators in the cluster at the
   end).

@Hemika, Indika Update if I have missed anything.

Asitha

If we pass this test, MB 3.0.0 is pretty stable and sound.

 Hi All,

We plan to upgrade hector version from hector-core 1.1.4.wso2v1 to
 hector-core 2.0-0 to support Java version 8.

 hector-core 2.0-0 required following dependencies.

 libthrift version 0.9.1

 cassandra-thrift 2.0.12

We need to upgrade above dependencies also. Above dependencies currently
existing as orbit bundles. New hector-core 2.0-0 released as an OSGi
bundle. Therefore we don't need to maintain WSO2 orbit bundle but we have
to release other two orbit dependencies.

libthrift is used directly or transitively in below features:

 org.wso2.carbon.logging.mgt.server_4.4.0

 org.wso2.carbon.databridge.agent.thrift.server_4.4.0

 org.wso2.carbon.cassandra.datareader_4.3.4.SNAPSHOT

 org.wso2.carbon.tenant.common.ui_4.4.0

 org.wso2.carbon.andes.ui_3.0.0.SNAPSHOT

 org.wso2.carbon.tenant.common_4.4.0

 org.wso2.carbon.logging.mgt.ui_4.4.0

 org.wso2.carbon.tenant.common.server_4.4.0

 org.wso2.carbon.databridge.commons.thrift.server_4.4.0

 org.wso2.carbon.tenant.throttling.agent_4.4.0

 org.wso2.carbon.andes.server_3.0.0.SNAPSHOT

 org.wso2.carbon.tenant.deployment_4.4.0

 org.wso2.carbon.messaging.andes_3.0.0.SNAPSHOT

 org.wso2.carbon.databridge.datapublisher_4.4.0

 org.wso2.carbon.logging.mgt_4.4.0

 cassandra-thrift 2.0.12 upgrade will break WSO2 Cassandra multi-tenancy
 implementation.

Cassandra mutitenancy breaks due to Cassandra source change we have done
to achieve muti-tenancy. I am looking in to Cassandra 2.0.x mutitenancy
port. After this change we have to create a WSO2 version of
cassandra-thrift and it will solve the build issue.

Thanks,

Deependra.

Component/Feature owners, please take necessary action accordingly.

 Cheers!

 MTOM.
-Try to understand Header formats of the HTTP message with MTOM and
 without MTOM.
 - Try to understand message sizes and how binary data is transfered over
MTOM and how it gives performance gain.
-Try to figure out how Message Builders and Formatters works with MTOM.

After gain knowledge of above areas you will be able to fully complete

 Hi Kasun/Sameera

Can you please review and merge the PR [1]. This upgrades the
spark-mllib and spark-streaming versions to 1.3.0 (for ML), with parallel
to the spark-core version upgrade in BAM.

 Hi Niranda,

Released the following orbit bundles. (finally! ;) )

 spark-core_2.10
  spark-sql_2.10

@Maheshika, can you release these two orbit bundles. Please make
sure to use JDK 7 for building.

 Hi Kasun,

Could you please check this bundle again. I fix the issue, and it
did not affect the orbit bundle.

 Hi Niranda,

I believe the point Supun making is if there are two versions of
spark 1.3.0 has made there way into a pack, then only one version
 will be
picked up. This is an unlikely scenario. But as a best practice,
 it'll be
better to export the exact version from now on.

 Hi Supun,

let me understand the scenario here.

say there are 2 OSGI bundle in the environment spark v 1.3.0 and
 spark v 1.2.1 and we have a component org.wso2.analytics.spark.core
 which
 imports org.apache.spark version [1.2.1, 1.4.0).
then AFAIK in the OSGI environment,
org.wso2.analytics.spark.core gets wired to the latest version in
 the
 runtime.
@carbon team pls correct me if I'm wrong

but I do not think it has anything to do with the
Export-Package tag in the orbit bundle.

 Hi Niranda,

 are you referring to this?
 Export-Package

 org.apache.spark.*;version=${spark.version};-split-package:=merge-first
 /Export-Package

Yes exactly. My concern was, what if multiple versions of the
same package were in the same osgi environment.. I know its very
 highly
unlikely, but IF such a case happens, then I think spark (or any
 bundle)
will pick up only one of the versions.

well, AFAIK what export-package does is, it exposes the
org.apache.spark.* classes in the OSGI environment. since we are
 not doing
any patching for the original classes, I dont think we have to
 change the
 version to 1.3.0.wso2v1

@sameera, pls correct me if I'm wrong.

 Hi Sameera/Niranda,

With parallel to this, Im in the process of migrating the

 1.3.0.wso2v1, rather than 1.3.0?
