Re: [Dev] [APIM] APIM 1.10.X Build failure

2015-09-21 Thread Udara Rathnayake
try building https://github.com/wso2/carbon-apimgt/ repository first. I
think release-1.10.x is the branch you have to build.
This is where we have apim related components/features.

Re: [Dev] WSO2 Carbon Metrics UI OSGi Fragment Bundle issue

2015-09-21 Thread Isuru Perera
Hi Kishanthan,

We compared and the only difference we noticed is in the bundle name. Other
than that we didn't do any OSGi level debugging and that's why we need some
help from OSGi experts to identify the real issue in our Fragment Bundles.

 Hi,

 With WSO2 Carbon Metrics release 1.1.0 [1], WSO2 Products can
 extend the Metrics UI and show product specific metrics in Management
 Console.

 WSO2 Message Broker successfully use a Fragment Bundle to show
 Messaging Metrics [2].

 Now WSO2 Machine Learner product also wants show some ML specific
 metrics. When we create a similar component like [2], we encounter
 following issue.

 [2015-09-08 13:20:58,603] ERROR - ApplicationDispatcher
 Servlet.service() for servlet bridgeservlet threw exception
 javax.servlet.ServletException: File
 /metrics-view/index.jsp not found

 After further checking, we found out that the following properties
 in MANIFEST.MF causes the issue.

 Bundle-Name: org.wso2.carbon.ml.metrics.ui
 Bundle-SymbolicName: org.wso2.carbon.ml.metrics.ui

 For example, If we change the "ml" to "ma" (org.wso2.carbon.*ma*
 .metrics.ui), the Fragment Bundle works fine.

 The host bundle source is at [3].

 If anyone wants to try this, build the Metrics tag v1.1.0 [1]
 locally and install Metrics Feature to any WSO2 product via the Feature
 Manager. Please use the target/p2-repo directory found in [4].

 Then try copying Messaging Metrics UI jar [5] to dropins. The
 Messaging Metrics UI works. If we change the bundle name and symbolic
 name
 as mentioned above, there will be an error.

 Any idea how these bundle names affect the Fragment Bundle?

 Thanks!

Re: [Dev] [APIM] APIM 1.10.X Build failure

2015-09-21 Thread Madusanka Premaratne
Hi Iqbal,
As Udara mentioned you need to build, carbon-apimgt[1] first. The mentioned
product-apim needs components and features of the version 4.3.0-SNAPSHOT,
which are not released yet. So please build carbon-apimgt first.

[1] - https://github.com/wso2/carbon-apimgt/tree/release-1.10.x

Thanks,

Hi Aruna,

Will you be able to provide some insight.. We need this capability to
automate perf-testing of the C5 based servers. So, would be great if we can
have a solution soon.

Thanks,
Kasun.

I am using the "wso2carbon-kernel-5.0.0-SNAPSHOT" pack , and have tried to
start and stop the server demonically. The start command is working but the

[Dev] h2 databses are not created while running a local setup with -Dsetup

2015-09-21 Thread Bimali Dayananda
Hi,

I deleted all the h2 databases in the local setup and tried to run it with
-Dsetup. But the databases in repository/database are not created.

Any idea about this issue?

Thanks.

[Dev] MIME types of sequence templates and endpoint templates

2015-09-21 Thread Kavith Lokuhewage
Hi,

I am working on[1] and need to verify $subject. To fix this, I am going to
use below MIME types separately for sequence templates and endpoint
templates .

Sequence Templates : application/vnd.wso2.template
Endpoint Templates : application/vnd.wso2.template.endpoint

Are these MIME types the correct ones for the relevant artifacts? Please
verify.

Thanks,

Re: [Dev] [Vote] Release WSO2 Carbon Kernel 4.4.2 RC1

2015-09-21 Thread Niranjan Karunanandham
Hi Kasun,

I went through the JIRAs that was mentioned in the previous mail. Please
see the comments below:

   -
   - https://wso2.org/jira/browse/CARBON-14807 - Patch is merged to 4.4.0
   branch, but as per the comment from Sandapa, the patch does not solve the
   issue completely.
   - https://wso2.org/jira/browse/CARBON-14959 - Available in 4.4.2
   - https://wso2.org/jira/browse/CARBON-14764 - Jira is directed to APIM.
   Therefore cloned the JIRA to Carbon to track it [1].
   - https://wso2.org/jira/browse/CARBON-15141 - Fix is to axiom and is
   available in v1.2.11-wso2v9
   - https://wso2.org/jira/browse/CARBON-15223 - Seems the PR is merged to
   4.4.2 but the JIRA is not updated. @Kalpa can you please update this.
   - https://wso2.org/jira/browse/CARBON-15184 - Available in 4.4.2
   - https://wso2.org/jira/browse/CARBON-14730 - Available in 4.4.2
   - https://wso2.org/jira/browse/CARBON-15248 - available in 4.5.0. This
   contains API addition so it will be there in the 4.5.0 release[1].

[1] - https://wso2.org/jira/browse/CARBON-15439
[2] - Mail Subject : [Carbon-Kernel-4.4.2 Release] Patches from ESB 4.9.0
release which are not in carbon-kernel-4.4.1

This is now fixed in Stratos 4.1.x branch and that fix will be available in

[Dev] [CEP] How to extract 24H formatted hour value from a milliseconds time stamp using Siddhi?

2015-09-21 Thread Grainier Perera
Hi,

I'm trying to extract 'hour' from a millisecond time stamp using the below
method of Siddhi time extension which is mentioned on [1

].

 extract( timestampInMilliseconds, unit)
>

My test cases as follows;

1. ts = 1442707210 : Sun 20 Sep 2015 05:30:10 AM IST GMT+5:30
2. ts = 1442750400 : Sun 20 Sep 2015 *05:30:00 PM* IST GMT+5:30
3. ts = 1442793630 : Mon 21 Sep 2015 05:30:30 AM IST GMT+5:30

And result for time:extract( ts, 'hour' ) for each test case;
1. 5
2. *5*
3. 5

Seems it is returning extracted hour value in 12h format. Is there a way to
get the extracted hour value in 24h format?

Re: [Dev] [CEP] How to extract 24H formatted hour value from a milliseconds time stamp using Siddhi?

2015-09-21 Thread Grainier Perera
Hi,

According to the "ExtractAttributesFunctionExtension.java" of Siddhi shows
that;

if (unit.equals(TimeExtensionConstants.EXTENSION_TIME_UNIT_YEAR)) {

According to [1] Java Docs of GregorianCalendar, HOUR_OF_DAY should be used
to return 24H format and, it seems that Siddhi doesn't provide that option.

[Dev] [DevStudio][ESB] Acceptable transports for a secure proxy

2015-09-21 Thread Rajeevan Vimalanathan
Hi,

The default transports for a secure proxy created through Developer Studio
are HTTP and HTTPS. And there is a public JIRA [1] mentioning that only
HTTPS transport should be allowed for a secure proxy. But when we create a
secure proxy through ESB management console, the default transport values
are HTTP and HTTPS same as Developer Studio. So should it be fixed at
Developer Studio to use only HTTPS as the transport?

Appreciate your inputs.

Sample ESB proxy config,

http://ws.apache.org/ns/synapse;
   name="testsecure"
   *transports="http,https"*
   statistics="disable"
   trace="disable"
   startOnLoad="true">

"
 name="wsse:Security"
 action="remove"/>

 https://test.com"/>

Sample Developer Studio proxy config,

  https://test.com"/>

Re: [Dev] [DevStudio][ESB] Acceptable transports for a secure proxy

2015-09-21 Thread Isuru Udana
Hi Rajeevan,

Proxy can contain both http and https transports depending on the security
scenario. For an example UTOverTransport case only https is allowed and for
scenarios like SignOnly etc, both http and https should be there.
