[Dev] Exposing the Public Certificate via 'jwks_uri'
Hi All, We are working on OpenID Connect Conformance Testing, using the test suite provided in link [1]. The current requirement we have is, exposing the Public Certificate via jwks.json ('jwks_uri'). We followed the 'jwks_uri'[2] of 'Google OAuth2 cert' and designed following jwks.json file to expose the public certificate of our server. { "keys": [ { "kty": "RSA", "alg": "RS256", "use": "sig", "n": "94A7FA15D6F59CF3F4E4412880BD3A2EB0CCCE3386AC0768A5B6BD902A8CE78B969516EF35F0CA4E2D922BF0B3274F35A5949BEF680E510007696C409BFB8F058DB05ED21B1E51D3791E9C2F9C7FC35BC65C706BE4E7723A3ABABB84B0AFD591EDB8E0A8920873FC04EB8723EAF9092D31F5E7452E07ACA1894F3C5A09C53B39", "e": "65537" } ] } To get the modulus and the exponent values for the Public Key, we have followed post [3]. After doing all these, when running the test suite, the signature validation fails. What I feel is the "n" and "e" values we have set are not is proper encoding/encryption. Seems this is not the format in google cert [2]. - Do you have any clue on how to get the modulus and the exponent values for a Public Key, in proper format ? - Have anyone came across similar requirement earlier? Hi Team, We are experiencing the issue [1] during the long run test for OAuth on IS510Alpha pack. This is a 3 node cluster setup and the DBs are on Oracle 12c. - 3 IS Nodes - Load Balanced via Nginx Plus 1.7 - Registry Mounted - Primary User store - Open LDAP - DB -Oracle 12c The scenario we are focusing in the Long Run as follows, - Super Tenant Admin generate Authorization Code Token for his own App - Super Tenant User generate Authorization Code Token for his own App - Tenant2 User generate Authorization Code Token for his own App - Tenant2 User generate Authorization Code Token for Super Tenant User's App - Super Tenant User generate Authorization Code Token for Tenant2 User's App - Tenant1 Admin generate Authorization Code Token for Tenant2 User's App - Super Tenant Admin generate Authorization Code Token for Tenant2 User's App - Tenant3 Admin generate Authorization Code Token for Tenant2 User's App - Tenant3 Admin generate Authorization Code Token for Super Tenant User's App The Jmeter script invokes these scenarios on 5 Threads, without a delay. - The cause for this issue is the 'USER DBF' file in 'C:\app\oracle\oradata\ora12c' location of Oracle installation, has reached it's maximum limit. - As a workaround we can set a new file using following Oracle Script [2], with giving the maximum allowed size as 'MAXSIZE'. - Still the script we used for longrun test make it grow up to 1GB within 2 hours. - We can give a larger 'MAXSIZE' but it won't be practical for larger loads. - Can you check the validity of things that written in to this file, which cause it to grow so quickly? - Is this the expected behavior? Related public JIRA [3] Highly appreciate your opinion and advices on this. [Dev] How to get a thread dump for a crashed Java process
Hi All, Is it possible to get a thread dump for a crashed Java process? We are working on a long run test for IS 500, and a one node of the cluster went down/crashed without leaving any Errors on Logs yesterday. The Heap Dump which should get created after a memory level failure, in /repository/logs/heap-dump.hprof is not there. Also we tried searching the process id on log in /var/log/ , but there's no clue. Also we tried various commands to create a dump, but all of them are looking for a process that currently running. What are the other options we have, and where else we should search for a clue? [Dev] 'RelayState' parameter on 'Identity provider initiated SSO' scenario
Hi All, I came across following confusion while trying out Identity provider initiated SSO scenario [1]. - Actual behavior is, when we specify the 'RelayState' parameter, SAML response maintain that as an 'parameter', and it redirects to 'Assertion Consumer URL'. - As per the docs [1], it says This request will authenticate and redirect the user to the URL in the RelayState parameter itself. Could you please confirm the expected behavior when specifying the 'RelayState' parameter in this scenario. Re: [Dev] BAM -Message and Activity search based on Cassandra indexing
Hi Asanka, As in BAM 241, Cassandra indexing will affect only for the data which receive after adding the index, and there is no mechanism to index the already existing data. If this implemented, we have to handle the size of already existing data, and the load it will create, and the time it will take to complete the process. I believe, it will be better if this can be added to BAM road map with a proper solution to all the upcoming problems. Re: [Dev] BAM -Message and Activity search based on Cassandra indexing
Hi Asanka, It was a different story at that time :). Anyway, have you tried this out in the latest pack in standalone mode, with built in Cassandra, and Datastax Cassandra? Is there any special configuration to enable this? if secondary index should index the already existing data, and if it is not working in current release, then there is a bug, either on Cassandra side, or on BAM side. You can get this confirm by adding indexing externally using Cassandra CLI (As in doc you shared above) This should index the data which are already there in the column. If it doesn't work, then Cassandra side has a problem, else you have to debug with BAM team. When we create a secondary index on a cassandra column family,It should start the indexing process immediately so there shouldn't be a requirement to publish data again. I agree with your concern about load handling but as per Cassandra doc [1], It won't be a problem. But we have to do a test run to make sure. Re: [Dev] [BAM] Permission denied exception for '.svn/entries'
Hi Maninda, I'll check this on the RC2 pack which will release today or tomorrow. Hope this change is there. But, what I couldn't understand is, that this was working yesterday also, and there were no new deployments AFAICR. Will check on new release, and will update you. Thanks, Pandula On Wed, Apr 2, 2014 at 10:06 PM, Maninda Edirisooriya mani...@wso2.comwrote: Hi Pandula, I am not sure how this problem happens but this is when and why it happens as I think. When a toolbox is deployed, its extracted Jaggery directory in tmp directory, is copied to the Jaggery deployment directory (i.e. jaggeryapps ditectory) using a recursive function. When extracted, tmp directory is added to svn so, .svn directories are created. The problem happens when trying to overwrite some content in .svn directory in the jaggeryapps. There the .svn directory may not have enough permissions to write as it was created by some other user like root as I think. This should be resolved if we can move the tmp directory outside the deployment directory as I discussed with Dunith as it will avoid overwriting .svn directories as there would be no svn involved with tmp directory when moved out from the deployment directory. *Maninda Edirisooriya* Software Engineer *WSO2, Inc. *lean.enterprise.middleware. *Blog* : http://maninda.blogspot.com/ *Phone* : +94 777603226 On Tue, Apr 1, 2014 at 11:30 PM, Pandula Kariyawasam pand...@wso2.comwrote: Hi All, We are testing profiling feature on BAM241 with enabling depsync for Analyzer Dashboard nodes. - We observed following error [1] only on Dashboard node today, which was not there in same setup on previous days. - After clearing both local deployment folder svn working copy, still this error comes on dashboard node. - NOTE : Local SVN Client Version 1.7.9 , SVN Server Version 1.6.17 SVN Jars used : svnClientBundle-1.0.0.jar , trilead-ssh2-1.0.0-build215.jar WDYT? Re: [Dev] [BAM] Version maintaining for Agents such as Data Publishers
Hi Sagara/Kasun, This is a small concern that we have came across while testing BAM241. We have used ESB 481 AS 521, and faced above mentioned limitation in BAM Agents in both of AS ESB. It will be great if you can act on these in future releases. Added as improvements on following JIRAs. ESB - https://wso2.org/jira/browse/ESBJAVA-3023 AS - https://wso2.org/jira/browse/WSAS-1675 Thanks, Pandula On Wed, Feb 26, 2014 at 12:30 PM, Anjana Fernando anj...@wso2.com wrote: Hi, These have to be fixed from the data agents, where if you make any changes to the stream definition, and try to save it, you will have to force the user to increment the version and save it, or probably automatically increment it and show it to the user. Basically allowing the user to use the same version where they are sending different events would be wrong. Worse case, probably, if the user insists, we should be able to delete the earlier stream definition for that version and re-create it. Cheers, Anjana. For all the Agents such as Data Publishers, it allows to save the configuration with different versions. When we do so, it will create the stream definition with relevant to that version. The problem occurs if we want to use a previous configuration with same version number. Unless the user set exact configuration as previous version, Agent won't send the messages to BAM after saving with same previous version number. Please consider the following scenario. - Consider a scenario that multiple users have access to the system. - 1st user configure the Agent for the first time setting the version as 1.0.0, with specifying some properties. - 2nd user altering that Agent with adding and removing properties, and save it as 1.0.1 - Now the 3rd user tries to role back to version 1.0.0, and he cannot figure out the initial configuration of version 1.0.0. - In a situation like this, if the 3rd user save it as 1.0.0 with configurations which are different from initial 1.0.0 configuration, the configuration will get saved properly. [Dev] [DEV] [BAM241] Cassandra indexing on Message Console
Hi All, I'm testing Message Console feature on BAM 2.4.1, which use Cassandra indexing for searching. I created some messages (HL7) in Cassandra before adding the indexing with HL7 toolbox. Then I created another set of messages after adding the toolbox. Now, when I search for messages, it will list only the messages which created after adding the toolbox. But When I load/search Activities, it will load all the messages, including messages created before toolbox adding. Is this the expected behavior? Re: [Dev] [DEV] [BAM241] Cassandra indexing on Message Console
Hi Maninda/Inosh, As per the discussion had with Anjana, improvement added to address this matter, under BAM-1449 [1] [1] https://wso2.org/jira/browse/BAM-1449 Thanks, Pandula On Sun, Feb 23, 2014 at 4:57 PM, Maninda Edirisooriya mani...@wso2.comwrote: Hi Pandula, AFAIK this is correct. Message search needs all the messages to be indexed for all the filter conditions. As index is only initialized by the toolbox and because the index is updated only at the message receive time, all the messages received before the toolbox is created will not get indexed. But Activity ID index is enabled by default AFAIK. So all the messages with an Activity ID will get indexed in the Activity ID, custom index, irrespective from the toolbox. That is the reason of appearing all the messages in the Activity ID search. Inosh, please correct me if there are any corrections. [Dev] [EMM Cluster] SSO Login page loading issues on Cluster
Hi All, We are trying clustering for EMM based on Worker Manager approach fronted by a ELB. In the cluster setup, it is possible to login to Carbon console. Also possible to load EMM Dashboard.[https://mgt.emm.wso2.com:8243/]. But when we open MDM, MAM Console, Publisher via EMM Dashboard, they routed to SSO Login page without the port. Store loads in anonymous mode, and it also route to the same without the port when click on sign in. When we try to load the SSO page with setting the port manually, still it won't load. [Dev] [EMM] Limitations when granting access of Operations for normal users
Hi All, On MDM, we have observed following limitation when granting access of Operations for normal user. To assign permissions for Operations for a User, we have to go to Carbon console, and assign 'Manage' permissions for 'Internal/everyone' role. (in addition to assign permissions for the role via MDM) A user who has this Manage permissions, can add or remove apps deployed in Carbon console. He can even delete the MAM MDM jag apps also. So there is this risk, when a normal user get manage permissions. This need to be handled. [Dev] [MAM] Adding New Version for an existing App
Hi All, We have observed following limitation on MAM Publisher, in the process of adding New Versions for an existing App. Currently, when we add a new version via existing application, it will replicate the content of the existing app with new version number in it. Those content allow to edit, but there is no place to add the APK file / IPA file / App Identifier / Package Name related to new version. It is needed to add this as a feature, otherwise there's no point of adding new versions. Re: [Dev] [WSO2Store] Multi-tenant public store
Hi Ruchira, Regrading the $subject on MAM aspect (which is based on ES), We are experiencing the following behavior. MAM Store shares the same Store Home page for both Super Tenant Tenants for Sign in. But Store home page listing only Super Tenant's apps. When there are tenants with their own apps also, Tenant User will see the Super Tenant's apps in Store home page, before Sign in. Is there any place to view the Tenant's apps to the User before Sign in? But after Sign in, there's no problem, because everyone see their tenant's apps only. This will make them confused. Is this the expected behavior? Thanks, Pandula On Mon, Jan 13, 2014 at 9:09 AM, Ruchira Wageesha ruch...@wso2.com wrote: Hi Chan, I didn't get what you meant by push apps available in the store to roles and users. Anyway, MT has been already implemented in ES and when a user logs in, we retrieve his tenant id from login details and keep it in the backend session. After that, tenant ID stored in the session will be used for every operation performed through that logged in session, until it gets expired. Unless, you are writing an extension in the store/publisher apps, you are not allowed to pass a tenant Id. What you can do is, first authenticate either store/publisher as needed with a user in the tenant you need. Then execute all api calls as that user. We have an idea of adding an OAth support for store/publisher APIs as well, but we don't have it at the moment. /Ruchira On Sat, Jan 11, 2014 at 10:51 AM, Chan duli...@wso2.com wrote: Hi Nuwan/ Ruchira, I want to know how multi-tenancy for the public store going to work.
