[Dev] EI 6.5.0 Broker startup say the version is 3.2.0

2019-07-12 Thread Rajith Siriwardena
Hi EI team,

Is there any reason to keep the Broker version like 3.2.0 instead of the EI
version?

Broker's carbon.xml product version is 3.2.0 and in EI 6.5.0 and following
is printed in the startup.

[2019-07-12 15:15:12,078] [EI-Broker] INFO
{org.wso2.carbon.core.init.JMXServerManager} - JMX Service URL :

I see the broker version is the same for EI 6.4.0. Are we maintaining it
independently?

Thanks,
Rajith

[Dev] Role assignment without provisioning the user

2018-10-22 Thread Rajith Siriwardena
Hi team,

I'm using a custom federated authenticator, which authenticates the user
against 3rd party API. What I would like to know is that, whether we will
be able to assign roles to it without provisioning the user to the user
store.

Thanks,
Rajith

Hi Bernard,

That debug log inform you that exception occurred in the AXIOM xpath
evaluation and it's performing a DOM base reevaluation since you have
enabled the synapse property to fallback to DOM (to enable XPATH 2.0). I
believe you are getting the correct results? Is it not?

Hi Lahiru,

Aren't you missing following init properties.

   -
intervalTime: The Interval time in milliseconds to check the access
   token validity.
   - registryPath: Registry path of the connector where the values are
stored. You must give the value as : connectors/
   .

   For example: registryPath = "connectors/salesforcerest".

Re: [Dev] ERROR 1071 (42000) at line 57: Specified key was too long; max key length is 767 bytes

2014-10-12 Thread Rajith Siriwardena
Hi Mahesh*,*

I think It's because of the default collation of your database. I assume
your default collation uses the UTF8 character set. in that case MySQL
limits the length of keys by bytes, not characters. Since the UTF8
implementation MySQL uses allows for 3 bytes per character, the max length
of a key on a UTF8 column is 3 times the key length in characters. You need
to change the collation of the database.

About using MySQL in different operating systems [1]
For users of Microsoft Windows, when creating the database in MySQL, it is
important to specify the character set as latin1. The following is how your
database creation command should look.

mysql create database DATABASE_NAME character set latin1;

For users of other operating systems, the standard database creation
commands will suffice. For these operating systems, the following is how
your database creation command should look.

mysql create database DATABASE_NAME;

Thanks,
Rajith

Hi all,

I'm seeing this error intermittently when I go to API Store from API

I was able to reproduce this on the Cloud Staging setup by going to
publisher, clear cookies and clicking API Store link.

Any idea why this is happening. complete error log is attached herewith.

Re: [Dev] Unable to associate projects to SonarQube in IntelliJ IDEA

2014-09-21 Thread Rajith Siriwardena
hi Gayashan,

By default the web port where *SonarQube* is listening, is set to 9000 not
9889. So the default link would be http://localhost:9000/
http://localhost:9889/

Cheers,

 Hi Rajeevan,

Try this approach. This is sort of a workaround, may not be the optimal
 approach.

1. Start a sonar server (sonar start)
2. Go to your project from the terminal and run following command:
mvn sonar:sonar
(This command will create a sonar project for your project and in fact
you can view the sonar report if you visit the web console from following
link: http://localhost:9889/. Note that you can change the default
sonar tcp port from changing the sonar.web.port property in sonar
dir/conf/sonar.properties file.)
3. Open intelliJ and since you've already installed sonar plugin,
right click on the project and select Associate with SonarQube
4. In the window that pops up your project may not show up, so clear
the search box and try typing the name associated with your project from
your pom file.
5. Select the appropriate sonar project and it should get linked
properly.

Hope this will fix the issue. I should probably blog this. :)

 Thanks.

Re: [Dev] [APPFAC] Error while AF startup

2014-08-18 Thread Rajith Siriwardena
HI Anuruddha,

As Harsha said. Your repository/conf/etc/cassandra.yaml contains following
part. As the exception suggests try giving the same seed list. seems like
difference seeds in the cluster.

seed_provider:
# Addresses of hosts that are deemed contact points.
# Cassandra nodes use this list of hosts to find each other and learn
# the topology of the ring. You must change this if you are running
# multiple nodes!
- class_name: org.apache.cassandra.locator.SimpleSeedProvider
  parameters:
  # seeds is actually a comma-delimited list of addresses.
  # Ex: ip1,ip2,ip3
  - seeds: 10.0.30.31

Thanks,

Re: [Dev] [BAM][Cassandra] Exception when browsing the keyspace from BAM 2.4.1 - Cassandra clustered

2014-07-28 Thread Rajith Siriwardena
This was solved by enabling axis2 clustering in each nodes. Since we need
distributed cache enabled between all the nodes.

hi Doc team/ Deep,

I guess for the point five Optionally in order to view the cluster
information in the Cassandra Keyspaces List UI in [1], enabling axis2
configuration should also be added.

without any problem. when I do that from the node1, it says system error
occurred and the following log can be found.
In both nodes bam-datasources.xml file is exactly same. credentials are
valid and also I can access both Cassandra nodes using Cassandra explorer.

 Hi Rajith,

Till it get reviewed you can build the mediator with necessary changes
pointed out in the patch and replace the jar in
ESB_HOME/repository/components/plugins and it will solve the issue.

This is not a good practice to follow. We do not directly modify content
inside plugins directory. Just create a patch directory say patch0xxx in
repository/components/patches directory and place your jar inside that. The
patched jar will be applied to the server during server restart.

Thanks Monoj :)

 Manoj

Hi Maninda,

Yes if that is the case, setting up an empty String is the best option. but
then isn't it violates the null check we were having in the following code.
(I don't know why it was there btw)

## BamMediator.java
if(service == null) { return true; }

I haven't checked your patch. I'll check it and get back you.

[Dev] [DEV][ESB] Aggregate mediator error in building the OMElement

2014-06-02 Thread Rajith Siriwardena
Hi,

Our requirement is to aggregate similar soap bodies using aggregate
mediator. With the following synapse.xml with *two log mediators in proxy
services it works fine* *and gives the required aggregated (attached:
aggregated.xml) output*. but if I remove the log mediators in proxy
services it gives the following error (attached: error.txt) and it shows
that for the every message from each proxy /ns:HOSTS parent tag is
appended as a child element to the last ns:HOST element. (attached:
errornous_message.xml)
I have also tried with new ESB pack and done it from the scratch but same
thing happened. I also debugged the class mediators and it gives the
required message.

environment: WSO2 ESB 4.8.1

what causes this behavior? anything i'm doing wrong here?

Thanks

Hi Rajkumar,

I guess you are getting this error because you are building the samples
from a clean repo. This is a known issue reported under [1] affecting the
version 4.6.0. you can use -c option to ignore checksum validation as a
workaround.

Hi all,

There are 2 things i need to clarify.

1.For class mediation in ESB i copied jars to directory. it creates
respective OSGI bundle in CARBON_HOME/repository/components/dropins as i
noticed. so to remove it it *was not enough* to remove
from CARBON_HOME/repository/components/lib. i had to remove it from
dropins also. is that the expected behavior?

2.to run a groovy script with the script mediator i copied groovy jar
to CARBON_HOME/repository/components/lib after running the script i have
updated synapse configuration (i mean removed configurations which use
groovy) and then removed jars from lib and the dropins (it works fine with
this way for jruby and etc) . but for groovy it throws

Yes that is the expected behavior.
The osgi-runtime doesn't know if the new dropin is a converted osgi bundle
from components/lib. It considers everything in components/dropins as new
bundles and try to install them at startup. So if you want to remove your
testing jar copied to components/lib you have to delete the converted osgi
 bundle in components/dropins as well.

verifying with platform and will commit changes after testing further with

I think that is the best option for time being, upgrading to 1.2.13 can

 Hi,

I have completed forking axiom into kernel/dependencies and versioned it
as 1.2.11-wso2v2. I have removed axiom from orbit trunk and reflected those
 changes in platform
as well. (There were hard coded versions in some of the features and
components and products which we need to clean up).

I have tested kernel build with tests and also started carbon and AS
 products without any problem.

 Thanks

 Hi ,

I had problems with integrating axiom since it had some errors when
integrated to kernel (POM related issues as it started forking non related
modules, culprit was javadoc plugin). After correcting them now i was able
to get a successful build at orbit and kernel with a clean repo. I am still
verifying with platform and will commit changes after testing further with
 platform.

 Thanks

 Hi Devs,

There are few fixes that needs to inherit from Axiom to DSS. Even
though the current release Axiom version (1.2.13) included the changes

Therefore i am planning to branch as a solution and include those
fixes. please holler if there are any concerns against it.

 +1

I think that is the best option for time being, upgrading to 1.2.13
can effect to projects already on final testing stages.

 Thanks !

if you still getting the error after doing what Nirmal aiya suggested

try this
http://dist.wso2.org/snapshots/maven2/org/wso2/carbon/org.wso2.carbon.mediator.autoscale/4.0.0-SNAPSHOT/
download the jar file and

mvn install:install-file -DgroupId=org.wso2.carbon
-DartifactId=org.wso2.carbon.mediator.autoscale -Dversion=4.0.0-SNAPSHOT
-Dpackaging=jar
-Dfile=/home/rajith/Downloads/org.wso2.carbon.mediator.autoscale-4.0.0-20120510.232242-43

it worked for me.

just a wild solution
