Re: [Dev] Enable JWT in gateway node

2017-11-19 Thread Sam Sivayogam
It seems like we are reading this config only in APIKeyMgt service [1]
hence I think we don't need this configuration in Gateway node

[1]

Thanks,
Sam

Re: [Dev] Exception while start the Gatewaynode.

2017-11-17 Thread Sam Sivayogam
Hi Dilusha,

This happens because gateway node is trying to connect to the throttling
topic in TM node. Please start your TM node and then start your GW node.
Once your TM node up running this exception will go away.

Thanks,
Sam

Re: [Dev] No response when sending patientId as an argument

2017-11-12 Thread Sam Sivayogam
I tried your api in my local ESB. Seems like the issue is with the path
param you send there is a *@ * in the query param you send. When invoking
the api you can send a path param without a special characters something
like below
GET /nawaloka/read/ab <a...@abc.com>cUser

or you can modify your url template like below to allow special charcters
/read/{*+*patientid}

Thanks,
Sam

Seems like your synapse api context and resource definition doesn't match
with the URL you invoke.Thats why you are getting a error like No matching
resource. Can you please send your api configurations ?

Thanks,

Re: [Dev] [APIM] [EMM] Adding multiple scopes to a single API resource endpoint

2016-08-04 Thread Sam Sivayogam
Hi Milan,

In APIM scopes are there to give access controls based on user roles. A
scope can contain multiple user roles so if you want to block multiple
roles add those roles to a* single scope *and assign to the particular
resource. IMO there is no need to create multiple scopes with different
roles and assigning it to the same resource, when you can already create a
scope with multiple roles.

Thanks,
Sam

Re: [Dev] [APIM] Changing Default Tier Limits and Names

2016-05-26 Thread Sam Sivayogam
What if we ship the 2.0.0 with the new tier definitions(new tier names, new
limits) and during migration we can check if there is any subscriptions for
the old tiers in version 1.10 and if there is existing subscriptions, we
can add those old tiers to 2.0.0 database using in the migration tool. In
that way existing subscriptions will be able get the old tier information
WDYT ?

Thanks,
Sam

Re: [Dev] [APIM] Changing Default Tier Limits and Names

2016-05-25 Thread Sam Sivayogam
IMO we need to change the throttling limits. With the new throttling
implementation we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy so if we use small limits,
the margin of error will be high. So it's better to use large limits than
the previous throttling limits.

Thanks,
Sam

Re: [Dev] APIM Getting SSLPeerUnverifiedException after upgrading to kernel 4.4.4

2016-03-19 Thread Sam Sivayogam
HI All,

Had a offline chat with Pulasthi and got to know that in IS 5.0.8 there was
opensaml upgrade from 2.4.1 to 2.6.4. After going through [1] got to know
that there is a hostname verification introduced in opensaml 2.6.4 which is
not there in opensaml 2.4.1 and this is why we are getting the above issue
after moving to carbon identity 5.0.8.

We are using *CommonsHTTPTransportSender * to call key manager internally
and from what I understood if we set the *HostnameVerifier *parameter
to *AllowAll
*we should be able to get rid of this issue, But still we are getting this
issue. Does anyone know why HostnameVerifier prameter is not working as
expected with CommonsHTTPTransportSender ?

[1]

Thanks,

[Dev] APIM Getting SSLPeerUnverifiedException after upgrading to kernel 4.4.4

2016-03-18 Thread Sam Sivayogam
Hi All,

I'm trying to to upgrade APIM's Crabon kernel to 4.4.4. during the kernel
upgrade i also upgraded the following
carbon identity from 5.0.7 to 5.08
carbon commons from 4.4.8 to 4.5.2
wso2 rampart from 1.6.1-wso2v16 to 1.6.1-wso2v18

After the upgrade, when I try to generate a key from the API Store I'm
getting the error [1] . I was able to get rid of this issue after replacing
APIKeyValidator ip with localhost in api-manager.xml.
Please note that this issue is occuring after the kernel upgrade before
that we didn't encounter this issue. what i would like to know to know is
there is any changes in kernel 4.4.4 or rampart 1.6.1-wso2v18 to do the
hostname verification by default?

Review Notes

Initial implementaion will be supporting single email server configurations
which will be defined in ApiManager.xml.
Email messages and templates are to be saved in tenant configuration file.

To support multiple Notification types use a map to store the the
notifierList

Use a property map to store the API Identifier Objects in NotificationDTO
to make the implementation more generic

use more suitable generic names to the following
NewAPIEmailNotifier class
notifySubscribers method

Re: [Dev] [APIM-1.9.0] Add external API Stores

2015-08-11 Thread Sam Sivayogam
Hi Pubudu,

You have to set the className when adding a external store in APIM 1.9.0.
so when you are adding your configuration to api-manager.xml make sure you
have set the className.

ExternalAPIStore id=Store1 type=wso2
className=org.wso2.carbon.apimgt.impl.publishers.WSO2APIPublisher

Thanks,
Sam

 Hi,

I was able to do the $subject by following [1]. In this approach

external API Stores which is used in API Manager 1.6.0 in [2]. I followed
the same steps in API Manager 1.9.0. Although it list down external stores
in the publisher, I am getting following error when trying to store an api.

 *ERROR - external:jag java.lang.NullPointerException: null*

Does this second approach[2] support in API Manager 1.9.0?

My intention is to automate of adding external API Stores. Therefore it is
needed to add from configuration files rather than using registry
resources. Is there any other approach I can follow?

Re: [Dev] how to set up WSO2 API manager for this special case?

2015-05-28 Thread Sam Sivayogam
Hi Bill,

You can use tenants[1] to achieve your use-case. What you can do is, add
two tenants (refer [2] ) for developer1 and developer2. When you are
adding a tenant you will add an admin user for that tenant so using that
developer1 and developer2 can login to their tenants. When users are adding
APIs In Tenant mode the API's will remain in their own tenants and will not
be visible to others. If you want to share the apis developed by developer1
and developer2 in a common place you need to publish the API's to an
external store. In your case you can set super tenant (which will be added
by default) as the external store and you can publish the APIs to super
tenant's store. refer [3] to setup an external store

[1]. https://docs.wso2.com/display/AM180/Multi+Tenant+Architecture
[2]. https://docs.wso2.com/display/AM180/Managing+Tenants
[3].
https://docs.wso2.com/display/AM180/Publish+to+multiple+external+API+stores

Thanks,
Sam

  Greetings all:

I am learning WSO2 API manager. I downloaded the binary version 1.8.0 from
URL, http://wso2.com/api-management/try-it/. I try to set up the WSO2
API manager to achieve my goal like this:

Here I have a group of developers, like developer1, developer2 and etc.
Each developer develops mutiple api's. For example, developer1 develops two
 api's like api1_1, api1_2. And developer2 develops three api's like api2_1,
api2_2, api2_3. Here each developer are allowed to publish ONLY his/her own
api's to API store; in other words each developer is NOT allowed to publish
any other developer's api's to API store. For example, developer1 is
allowed to publish api1_1 and api1_2, but is not allowed to publish api2_1,
 api2_2, api2_3. And developer2 is allowed to publish api2_1, api2_2 and
api2_3, but is not allowed to publish api1_1 and api1_2.

The catch here is that the current implementation of WSO2 API manager
allows each developer to publish other developer's api, which is not my
 goal.

Please advice how to configure WSO2 API manager to achieve my goal. Or
 it's impossible?

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

 Thanks in advance,

 Bill
