Just to be clear, this hasn't shipped in a release version of Safari yet,
it will probably be part of the next release of Safari.

To be clear, we've supported rel="noopener" for a while. This makes it
so that you don't need to specify rel="noopener" if your target
attribute is set to "_blank".

For the archives, s/ref/rel in subject.

I am seeing some publisher uptake of rel="noopener" so it is good that
we are shipping this.
